As unrest spreads across Iran and authorities tighten controls on communication, news reports suggest that the government is using foreign military technology to block satellite internet services. Iran has reportedly turned to Russian military technology to disrupt Elon Musk-owned Starlink satellite internet services. According to a Forbes report, specialised jammers have interfered with as much as 80 per cent of Starlink’s uplink and downlink traffic in the country.

The latest actual real news out of Iran is the protests have faded to nearly nothing and the streets of Teheran have filled with supporters of the current government — with the President of Iran marching in the streets with those crowds, amid minimal security.

The Russian internet censorship technology is already in place in Russia,, it’s been so for years. Russia is the most censored country of the world, right after North Korea.
What is interesting is that we now see that Russia has exported its censorship tech to its close ally and friend Khamenei in Iran.
Most censored you wouldn’t know that by number of arrests for online comments. The UK now beats them by a factor of 3! Something like UK 12k, to Russia 4k arrests!
