We heard the same nonsense for 4 years regarding Ukraine - Russia is running out of missiles, Russia has to steal computer chips from washing machines, Patriots knock out 100% of missiles and drones, etc...

We can’t build nuclear subs and are asking help from South Korea - that is how bad our procurements system is. My favorite example of nonsense during the GWOT was the construction effort to fortify the National Library of Medicine which was right there at the top of any respectable terrorists list of juicy targets. I hope Cheney’s construction buddies made a nice packet off of it because the construction went on for years disrupted traffic through Bethesda, and produced nothing of value for the rest of us.
The utter incompetence of our foreign policy/national security senior leadership leaving us, formerly the greatest seapower in the world, unchallengeable, with a less than adequate navy is just mindblowing.
