A heroic shopkeeper (Achmad Al Achmad!) tackled and disarmed one of the terrorists who opened fire on a Bondi Beach Hanukkah celebration in Australia Sunday.
Video captured the moment that the good Samaritan, wearing a white shirt, sneaked up behind the shotgun-wielding gunman and wrestled the weapon away from him.
The hero dramatically tackled the terrorist to the ground and disarmed him during the attack.

At least 12 people were killed, including children, and 29 were injured after two terrorists opened fire at the Chanukah by the Sea event on the famed Sydney beach.
One of the attackers was killed and the other is in custody, according to authorities.
Beach-goers fled Bondi Beach after the gunmen opened fire.
The onslaught lasted at least 10 minutes before the terrorists were taken down.
The hero’s family identified him as 43-year-old Ahmed al Ahmed, a father of two from Sydney who runs a fruit stand, according to news.com.au.
The man’s cousin told 7News that he was shot twice during the confrontation and is undergoing surgery.
Harrowing footage captured the moment a hero disarmed a terrorist opening fire on Bondi Beach on Sunday.
“We do hope he will be fine. He’s a hero 100 percent,” the relative said.
In the video, Ahmed waited for the terrorist, wielding a long gun, to pause in between shots before grabbing him in a bear hug.
After a tussle, Ahmed came up with the gun and pointed it at the attacker.

They were arresting the unvaccinated. I really don’t have sympathy here because of Australia’s covid response. They brought this on themselves when they gave up their guns and didn’t exterminate police who were rounding them up and enforcing lockdowns and mandates.
In the video, the guy doing the reporting is yelling approximately, “Where the hell are the cops?” At about three minutes into the event. Sirens have been wailing for over two minutes, and the perps have not been engaged.
Later, when one perp is down, a fat man and weak woman policemen are incredibly incapable of managing the scene.

Ahmad Al Ahmad.
When an event is happening and seconds count , police are minutes away.
I may have mangled this cliche, but, police never arrive immediately at the scene of a crime in progress.

I seem to read a lot of things similar to the above.
I’ve always thought that if presented with the occasion I would try to disable the adversary first, with a leg breaking kick to the knee, a hard object to the head, or whatever other technique I may or may not know about, and then disarm him, as opposed to starting out wrestling or with a bear hug or a tackle from which the adversary can escape.
Am I tactically wrong here?
Yes. Mr. Achmad will be found guilty by his fellow hardline Muslims of seeing the humanity in all of us, rather than regarding the Jewish infidels as animals living in caves, unworthy of saving.
