Can't have 'the people" be involved in the Justice system.

That's what trial by jury is, to prevent elites and oligarchs from passing summary judgement on their own accord.

But I guess the Magna Carta be damned in today's Britain. Too inconvenient.

They seem to have gotten THE most radical people into positions of power.

Ministers have proposed to end the right to a jury trial for a vast range of criminal offences in England and Wales

They could look to Minnesota for guidance in how to have trials where the jury wastes its time.

You think Christian, conservative, white, heterosexual males will be discriminated against?

Dismissals for woke criminals.

That’s what this is about.

Normies will be summarily thrown in prison without a jury of their peers to see through the B.S.

...or if there was a strong public interest in the case...

The newspapers decide.

> Leveson suggested limiting trial by jury to cases likely to result in a prison sentence of more than three years. <

Little-known fact: In 1989 the US Supreme Court limited a guaranteed trial by jury to crimes carrying more than a six-month imprisonment.

That’s even though the 6th Amendment guarantees the right to trial by jury in ALL criminal cases.

Well, I for one think that dovetails in nicely with ending free speech and banning the flag.

Incredible how fast Europe is willingly surrendering to evil.

Their leaders refuse to listen to people and have imported hordes of counter western culture masses to purposely destroy white Christian culture.

They will ultimately eliminate western justice.

They will soon deploy digital ID and lack of jury trials will serve to fast-track crack downs, gulags, and midnight round-ups.

Wow.

Although opinions do differ, historically, a whole lot of Englishmen have believed that trial by jury was one of the foundational rights established by the Magna Carta in 1215. To throw this away is to strike at the very foundations of English Law.

Next up: star-chamber-type courts where a fast hand with a rubber stamp can get through hundreds of cases in practically no time. Backlog problem solved!

Ministers plan to set up fiefdoms to ease their onerous burdens and resurrect Droit du Seigneur to include the groom and any children.

Exactly. I was appalled to hear that outcome.

But given what we have seen for some time now in this country, not surprising.

Heading back to pre-Oliver Cromwell. Can’t have a monarchy or oligarchy do this again. Next will be sharia law.

"as they grapple with a vast backlog of cases that is delaying hearings"

Just let AI decide the cases. Much more efficient. Or they could flip a coin, which would be even faster.

This should make it easier to convict English people for “misinformation”.

They won’t have to worry about jury nullification.

I guess it wasn’t a right then was it?

Next step is to do what Zelynskyy did in Ukraine — put politcal parties in jail. Close down newspapers, stop elections.

The template is there for implanting a tyrannical state — just do what the EU has been funding in Ukraine.
