New prosecutor tapped to take over Georgia election interference case against Trump
Georgia Recorder ^ | 11/14/25 | Ross Williams

The Georgia election interference case against President Donald Trump appears to live on after the head of a nonpartisan state agency appointed himself the new prosecutor in the case.

Peter J. Skandalakis, executive director of the Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council of Georgia, will take over the case from embattled Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, Skandalakis announced Friday.

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee had tasked Skandalakis with finding a replacement for Willis by Friday or he would allow the case to be dismissed.

Skandalakis said he contacted “several” other prosecutors who declined to take up the case.

“The decision to assume responsibility for this matter was reached only after careful and deliberate consideration,” Skandalakis wrote. “While it would have been simple to allow Judge McAfee’s deadline to lapse or to inform the Court that no conflict prosecutor could be secured—thereby allowing the case to be dismissed for want of prosecution—I did not believe that to be the right course of action.”

I admit that I didn't think of this scenario. The Prosecuting Council is to prosecute the case themselves.

I’m surprised he didn’t appoint himself judge, jury, and executioner.

“executive director of the Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council of Georgia”

Hilarious.

This outfit is an obscure “support” agency for elected DA offices in GA.

To wit:

“The Council’s staff provides a range of services, including training and continuing legal education, legal research assistance, preparation of prosecution manuals, trial and appellate practice support, payroll and budgeting, technology procurement, and information management”

IOW it’s a first job back office operation probably run by a bunch of female Paralegals and a few third rate attorneys.

Skandalakakakadakalakalis is one of them. If you can pronounce his name, you get a job there.

Now the moron wants to make a big name for hisself prosecutin’ that there Presidunt of the Untied Estates?

Just another Rat party scam op.

The question is how much does he benefit from taking this case for himself? Isn’t that a conflict of interest? No one with a brain wants the case but he can have a taxpayer paid adventure! Is that the way this works?

“ These Lawyer councils and committees are stacked with leftist lawyers, this is not a surprise.”

and they are usually political hacks with little trial expertise. Trump’s lawyers will run circles around him.

Everybody knows that Donald Trump often speaks in shortened fractured sentence structures.

Given what we know about the 2020 election, when President Trump said "I just want to find 11,780 votes," a reasonable interpretation of this is based on:

A plausible vernacular interpretation is: "I need you to locate/identify 11,780 votes' worth of ballots that were improperly accepted under unconstitutional procedures—ballots that, if invalidated, would restore the result I actually won."

After which the leftist judge will side with the inexperienced hacks.

Probably.

Trump’s lawyers will run circles around him.

Doesn't matter. This case is being revived simply so the MSM can run blockbuster anti-Trump headlines (all based on phony sh*t) that will run on national broadcasts and hundreds of local "news" outlets, as well as radio "news" at the top and bottom of every hour.

If we actually had a fair and balanced MSM in this country, Trump's approvals would be around 60%.

I hate to break it to you but that interpretation could easily be construed as election interference because what you wrote infers he was asking to invalidate only enough votes against him to give him the lead Asking instead to invalidate all questionable votes either for or against would not be seeking an unfair advantage but it also means he still could have lost in the end.

I must have misunderstood. I thought that another District Attorney had to accept the case. Not some guy standing on the sidelines.

The closing sentence says it all. They just want to string this story along.

“This is a developing story, check back for updates.”
