Aman from Kent, Washington, has been charged by federal prosecutors in a scheme linked to the thwarted Halloween terror plot in Michigan, according to court filings.
Saed Ali Mirreh, 19, who is a U.S. citizen, is accused of conspiring to provide support to a designated foreign terrorist organization, according to a federal complaint in the Western District of Washington. Authorities say he acted as a fundraiser for travel to Syria and coordinated with overseas contacts.

The case is tied to a broader investigation in Michigan in which two 20-year-old men, Mohmed Ali and Majed Mahmoud, both U.S. citizens from Dearborn, Michigan, were charged with conspiring to carry out an ISIS-inspired mass shooting on Halloween weekend in the Detroit area.
According to the complaint in Mirreh’s case, federal agents allege he raised thousands of dollars via an online scammer in Sweden, communicated with extremists in encrypted chat rooms, and scheduled international travel from the Seattle-Tacoma area to Istanbul and onward toward Syria just hours before his arrest.
In the Michigan case, the FBI said Ali and Mahmoud had allegedly acquired AR-15-style rifles, shotguns, tactical vests, GoPro cameras, and more than 1,600 rounds of ammunition. They allegedly practiced at shooting ranges, scouted LGBTQ+ bars in Ferndale, Michigan, and referred to their planned attack by the code name “pumpkin.”
Although Mirreh was not physically in Michigan during the Michigan arrests, prosecutors say he was part of the same overarching conspiracy and is charged in Washington state as the “finance guy” for travel to join ISIS and to support operations abroad, while the Michigan men would stay and “do the same thing as France,” the complaint says.
The complaint notes that the suspects repeatedly used encrypted chat apps, shared extremist and ISIS-related material, and discussed joining the Islamic State in Syria or carrying out attacks in the U.S. The investigation began after agents flagged suspicious travel and extremism-related searches by associates of the Michigan suspects in 2024.
Before that, the documents state the FBI executed a search warrant on Mirreh's Kent home in August 2023 based on information that he was potentially providing support to someone in Canada connected to terrorism charges. Mirreh, a minor at the time, admitted to sending messages to others about a potential attack and consuming ISIS propaganda but denied intending to carry out an attack. He was then released.
The FBI also interviewed Mirreh in January 2024, when he again denied having further contact online with pro-ISIS groups. In July 2025, the FBI reached out to Meta regarding an Instagram account known to belong to Mirreh that was being used to communicate with individuals associated with ISIS.
Prosecutors claim Mirreh’s recent activities included arranging for funds to be transferred overseas, soliciting support for extremist causes, and coordinating logistics for international travel to an area under ISIS influence.
On Oct. 31, Ali and Mahmoud were arrested in Dearborn following the thwarting of the attack. Following an ongoing investigation into their ties, Mirreh was arrested at his home on Nov. 5. Authorities seized his passport, phone, and laptop in the arrest. Investigators said that during his arrest, Mirreh admitted to possessing a ticket to fly to Istanbul to ultimately travel to Syria for the purpose of joining ISIS as a fighter, with the flight scheduled just hours before his arrest.
Mirreh has been charged with conspiracy to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization and attempt to provide support.
If convicted, Mirreh faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison under federal statutes governing material support to terrorist organizations. In Michigan, Ali and Mahmoud face up to 15 years for transferring firearms and ammunition for use in a terrorist crime.

I’ll believe that when I see it. Germany is now talking tough. But actions speak louder than words.
The same thing is going on in the UK. Starmer has announced all sorts of plans to deport illegals. Yet more illegals are coming in than are being forced out.

When my kids were in school, Philadelphia complained about having over 20 different languages spoken at home in the school district. At the same time, Kent had over 120 different languages spoken at home.
Many times when I needed to talk with a neighbor, I had to have their children act as interpreters.
