The term “Fire Commissioner” will have an entirely different meaning in NYC.
He was likely going to lose his position anyway. It’s a politically appointed position. He replaced the idiot female Laura Kavanaugh who never worked as a firefighter in her life. de Blasio was her sugar daddy. Worked for him since 2014. She sucked her way to the top.

One news cast from Sky News said 800,000 were ready to leave. Florida realtors are expecting a land rush and prices are already going up. The new mayor says taxes are going up and law enforcement will essentially disappear. Sounds like heaven to me.😱

They had NYC street interviews with people asking if they would vote for Mamdani, on some YouTube channel.
One interesting pair were 2 vey Jewish businessmen going into a bank. They had the caps, long hair, beards…whole 9 yards. Both fairly young, early 30ish, college ed looks.
Both said they were Mamdami supporters. What was really even more odd is one said “we Jews and Muslims are bothers”.
