It emerged that one convicted member of the gang, Adil Khan, will not be able to return to the country
An MP has once again called for a member of a Rochdale grooming gang to be deported after his accomplice fled the UK.
It comes after it emerged that one convicted member of the gang, Adil Khan, will not be able to return to the country after fleeing the UK.
Khan, who is aged in his 50s, was among nine gang members jailed in 2012 for sexually abusing children in the borough. Khan, then in his 40s, impregnated one girl and then met the another victim who he trafficked to others for sex, using violence when she objected.
He was sentenced to eight years in 2012 and released on licence four years later. He has since fought a long legal battle against deportation. Earlier this year, there were renewed calls for him and another gang member, Abdul Rauf, to be sent back to Pakistan.
However, the pair have both fought against deportation on the grounds that it would interfere with their human rights, mounting multiple legal challenges and appeals.
Earlier this year, Rochdale MP Paul Waugh described his 'utter outrage' that the two men remained in the UK and had thwarted repeated attempts to deport them back to their native Pakistan.
Greater Manchester Police revealed it has been conducting compliance checks on Mr Khan since he was released from prison in 2016. The force has now confirmed that 'he was not there' during the most recent visit from officers on October 21 and that it was established he had left the country.
In an update, the Home Office confirmed that Khan was subject to a deportation order, which means he will now be unable to return to the UK after leaving.
Labour MP for Rochdale Paul Waugh has now reiterated his calls for fellow abuser Abdul Rauf to also be deported to Pakistan.
In a statement, he said: “If this vile paedophile is no longer in the country, that’s very welcome news. His victims, and many of my constituents in Rochdale, will want reassurance that he’s gone for good.
toss em off the cliffs of Dover and yell swim for it
THEY HAVE A “LEGAL RIGHT” TO SEXUALLY ABUSE YOUNG WOMEN & KNOCK THEM UP?????
COMING TO NYC...????
According to Jordan Peterson, in some cities 7%,of the Pakistani men were directly involved in the grooming gangs.
That means Everyone in the Pakistani Community knew what was going on.
“...he will now be unable to return to the UK after leaving.”
Pets get groomed. People get raped and sexually abused.
The word “groomed” is appropriate here. As we all know here on FR, these rapes by Muslims were not random things. They were carefully planned over time. People need to be aware this.
I will agree with you that the word alone is insufficient. Any such discussion should also highlight the ugly word, rape.
His victims, and many of my constituents in Rochdale, will want reassurance that he’s gone for good.
I think his victims would want justice, or to see him hanging from a 15 foot tall yardarm by a 5 foot long rope.
Will likely end up in Canada.
So in the UK you can traffic women, beat them and get only 4’years?
