David Delfiner and Lisa Parsons received a shocking letter from their health insurance provider when they checked their mail last week. Their monthly health insurance cost will increase from $350 a month this year to $2,221 starting in 2026

Yay!
They voted for this!
They don't have the votes to make drastic changes, but they were able to remove the penalties for not having healthcare back in 2019.
The inflated price of the insurance cartel is not “purchasing health care”, in fact, a lot of people with insurance which imposes absurd deductibles go without actual health care because their “insurance” makes it unaffordable.
“Purchasing health care” means paying the doctor, the nurse, the physical therapist, or buying drugs from a pharmacy.
All of these actors are being crushed by the insurance cartel.
It’s time for a change.

At least someone is doing well through all of this making half a million a year..
Catastrophic?
Like their entire neighborhood burned down and they can’t get permits to rebuild Catastrophic?
“In an Obama administration, we’ll lower premiums by up to $2,500 for a typical family per year.”
You’re getting what you voted for, liberals!
“ Obama care is only affordable with massive government subsidies.”
That is why you had to “pass the bill to see what’s in it.” If it can’t survive without a government supplement then it shouldn’t survive, period.
Yes, this is a good time to remind everyone you know that this is the planned for result of Obamacare, which was passed with =zero= Republican votes.
Well somebody has to pay for all the illegals.
Not possible:
“AFFORDABLE Care Act” c/o barack hussein obama, aka ‘zero’, and all the democrats/progressives who backed it.

If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor. If you like your plan, you can keep your plan.
ObamaCare will reduce healthcare costs and will be the signature legislation of the first President not born in the United States.
I am 62 and the only one of my siblings still working.
The earliest to retire was my brother who worked for the federal prison system. He retired at 56. His wife, who also worked there retired at 50. My oldest brother just retired at 66. The other just retired at 65.
I just filled out my health insurance, dental, vision and long term disability insurance for next year. Another year of $270/pay period(twice a month) for a high deductable plan for me and my wife. Plus dental. Plus vision. Plus $500/month into the Health Savings Account. Then I pay out of the HSA for all doctor visits except our annual physicals. I also pay for my long term disability insurance.
My company used to have one of those “Cadillac” insurance plans until Obamacare came along. Now, we pay the same and have to pay for any expenses out of the HSA. Last year I got a CPAP machine. After various visits and appointments and equipment I spent about $3500 out of that HSA account last year.
“Spineless Republicans have done NOTHING about removing/changing Obamacare for 15 years.”
Because the insurance companies get paid directly and get to keep what isn’t used. The insurance companies pay the politicians. The Republicans are grifting traitors in my opinion.
Dims never make a “temporary” new entitlement (subsidy), they all along intend them to become permanent until they have every American’s health insurance paid by or subsidized by the government, after which they will move to “consolidate” everything into a federal government single payer plan - their real goal all along.
“and just stay healthy.”
Great strategy.
Well, they have to pay for the illegals. They’ll come to Texas and put that same idiotic crap governance on us.
“””It’s unbelievable,” said Parsons, a 59-year-old retiree living in South Lake Tahoe.””””
South Lake Tahoe is a nice place to live—albeit quite expensive.
Mr and Mrs Parsons may have to review their retirement plans and move to a place where their living expenses are not so high.
Such is the problem when people retire before age 65 and do not factor in the cost of health insurance until Medicare kicks in.
They made the choice to retire when they did. I did not agree to pay for their health insurance costs until Medicare starts for them.
Sorry, sob stories do not sway me.
In which calendar year, precisely, was Obamacare to have been removed by Congress?
And rumor has it Newsome wans to run for president.
No thanks. We don’t need the whole country going CA on us.
