Democrat gerrymanderers are confident, however, that Garcia is so dynamic and popular (gag) that he will still win.
His current district is rated as D+19 which is solid “blue”.
His new district would be rated about D+5 which qualifies as somewhat “purple”. He will very likely still win, but by something like 5-10 points and not the 36 point margin he had in 2024. Unfortunately the margin doesn’t matter, just the outcome. In a “red” wave year it could be quite close here, but 2026 isn’t likely to be that year.
