We’ve survived worse, even Martin Luther’s rebellion.
“”I thought this new pope would be better than the last guy. It turns out I was wrong.””
***
I had no such illusions, really... since Francis was this guy’s mentor and chose this one for ‘great things’..
like his successor. There’s a real good reason why, as we are now finding out.
Is this pope “the” false prophet mentioned in the Bible re: the end times? Only time will tell.
Bkmk
Sounds like more of the same; maybe done a little differently.
LOL.
Catholics have to face how their church is crashing and burning around them, and you’re unable to fix it because of the heretical nature of the people *your* blind obedience allowed to be put there, and your reaction?
“B-BUT LOOOOTHAAARRRRRRR!”
You’re hilarious.
Ebb, someone beat you to it.
Was Le Ho more Ho Le than this pope?
‘Do you know why the Indian rain dances always worked? Because the Indians would keep dancing until it rained.’

Third secret?
Nellie Forebush “Oh Luther...”
Probably Le Ho was more Ho Le then Pope Leo the (N)XVI(M).
Sign, sign
Everywhere a sign
Blockin’ out the scenery
Breakin’ my mind
Do this, don’t do that
Can’t you read the sign?
Bah!
He’s a White Sox fan.
What’d ya expect? 🙄
Don't give up the Catholic Faith, because that's why the Roman Catholic Church was targeted by communists in the first place. Just realize that the devil and gay/communists are just doing what they've been assigned to do....
God's word is the path.... the church is made with men ....and men are weak unless they follow the path laid out by our Lord.
Catholicism demands you submit to an evil Pope and aren’t allowed to study Scripture for yourself.
How is that righteous?
The devil isn’t attacking Catholicism. The devil has taken over Catholicism.
, Luircin, the Catholic Church isn't "crashing and burning"; she's the enduring Body of Christ (Eph 1:22–23: "The church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all"), prevailing against hell's gates (Mt 16:18: "On this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it"). Challenges like scandals are human failures (Rom 3:23: "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"), but the Spirit renews her (Jn 16:13: "The Spirit of truth… will guide you into all the truth"),
If the Church wad purely guided by men it would have crashed and burned with Marcion, or with Arius or in the 8th century under the combined blows of the Vikings, the Magyar, the western and eastern slavs, and islam.
But it survived. Only due to God's grace
"Heretical nature"? That's a projection—the Church defines heresy against apostolic faith (Gal 1:8–9: "If anyone preaches to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed").
your "faith alone" added "alone" to Rom 3:28, contradicting Jas 2:24 ("Justified by works and not by faith alone"). Your view shares Catholic sacraments and authority but rejects unity (Jn 17:21: "That they may all be one").
How is that righteous?"
You, Luircin, do realize that's a lie, right? We Catholics study the Bible not only at mass but elsewhere and elsewhen as well
Catholics are urged to study Scripture personally and devotionally. Vatican II's Dei Verbum (Chapter VI) encourages all faithful, especially the laity, to read the Bible frequently: "The Church 'forcefully and specifically exhorts all the Christian faithful… to learn by frequent reading of the divine Scriptures the 'excellent knowledge of Jesus Christ' (Philippians 3:8)" and "ignorance of the Scriptures is ignorance of Christ." It promotes access through translations, instructions, and aids from bishops. Interpretation is guided by the Church to avoid error (2 Peter 1:20: "No prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one's own interpretation"), but personal study is vital
Also,
Lutheranism has strict dogmatic rules for interpreting the Bible, as outlined in the Book of Concord (e.g., Augsburg Confession, Article 1: Scripture as the "pure, infallible, and unalterable Word of God," interpreted Christocentrically) and principles like the law/gospel distinction (Formula of Concord, Article 5: Law accuses, Gospel comforts). Hermeneutics emphasize clarity of Scripture (Luther's *Bondage of the Will*: Bible self-interpreting on salvation) but within confessional bounds, rejecting private interpretations contrary to creeds (2 Peter 1:20).
This mirrors Catholic Magisterium—why criticize ours while yours binds to Luther's Small Catechism?
I’ve participated in mass in numerous countries, numerous languages, quite a few pitiful preachers etc.
But the human priest is only an assistant to the High Priest present at the mass, Jesus Christ.
We should remember that.
