Brian Niccol, I call on you to bargain a fair contract with Starbucks Workers United baristas! I support Starbucks baristas in their fight for a union and a fair contract, and pledge not to cross the picket line. That means I will not patronize any Starbucks store when baristas are on strike.
Why is this important?
Baristas are the most important part of the Starbucks experience. Baristas open the stores every morning and close them every night. They greet customers, make the coffee, clean up the spills, and remember customers’ names and favorite orders.
Yet, it’s too hard for baristas to make ends meet.
Starbucks baristas deserve to be paid enough to afford the basics like food and rent. That's why they're demanding a fair union contract with the staffing, hours, take-home pay, and on-the-job protections they need to do their jobs.

Never go there anyway counts as boycotting. right? { snicker }
I dunno... this might make start going to Starbucks :D
What is a barista? It is certainly not what works at Starbucks. Those are poor young folks suckered into hundreds of thousands in college debt for basket weaving and transgender studies degrees, brainwashed in DEI as well.
Now suffering the consequences of their poor decision: dumping chocolate into coffee cups and spraying some whipcream on top. That is not a barista. That is the job of a robot.
No support for “Barista Unions” here - they already make over $15 an hour in my area. I made a measly $3.50 an hour when I did menial task to PAY my was through college instead of taking out loans. They should have had some common sense instead of buying into the WOKE higher ed dream. Also, their PARENTS should have had more common sense and alerted them to the scam.
I’m down for the struggle - no Starbux! Wouldn’t be, with or without strike of course.
I like have always boycotted Star Bucks but my reason is cost and my disgust for their snobby attitude.
I only drink coffee I make myself, but I just might got to Starbucks a few times to express my negative support for strikers.
Minimum wage in Seattle - Home Base for Starbucks - is $20.76.
So now people who serve coffee (very unskilled labor) are demanding to be unionized? Those idiots want a lifetime career serving coffee. Just like fast food restaurant employees demanding high wages and benefits, just for flipping a burger.
This is what happens when you import millions of unskilled foreigners who can’t do anything else for a living. They think working at Burger King is supposed to be forever.
I just read the other day where Starbucks is closing 400 stores. There are newer and cheaper places to buy coffee rather than Starbucks..
Around where I live seven day brew drive-ins are going up all over the place as well as another chain called scooters.
Starbucks had a lot of growth, but are their prices worth really going there? if we have a major recession, guess what business is going to see a huge decline immediately, overpriced, Starbucks, coffee.
The Unions, like vultures, swoop in to pick the corpse clean.
Where do we protest to reduce their wages?
**Minimum wage in Seattle - Home Base for Starbucks - is $20.76.**
I’d take it if I was a 20-something. It’s the odd hours and weekends I couldn’t handle but if a younger person needs work there’s plenty of those jobs out there so going on strike is not gambling with the loss of a job.
I’d work there for the 401k benefits big companies offer.
FIRE THEM ALL.
You could always go for the pastries - I always liked the pastries.
How about the other trendoid coffeehouses, Dutch Bros and Peet’s and Seattle’s Best - are they any better?
“What is a barista?”
a barista is a bartender in Italy ...
Fine grind coffee brewed on low with preheated water in a well used Bialetti mocha pot makes a full size cup of java that’s better than anything Starbucks can grossly overcharge for.
If, and that’s a huge if, I want a cup of coffee while I’m out, I can get a better cheaper cup at MickeyD’s, and as far as those sugary sweet diabetes inducing drinks the children are way better off without them….that goes for MickeyD’s and any one else that pushes them on the kids.
I think your nuts if you pay for that burnt tasting swill in the first place and now they want me to gush over their clerks who they made up some fancy name for. Not doing it. Give me a cup of Maxwell House.
