The Trump administration has frozen about $18 billion for infrastructure projects in New York City to ensure that funding is not “flowing based on unconstitutional DEI principles,” a top official said Wednesday.

The funding is earmarked for the Hudson Tunnel Project and the Second Avenue Subway project, said Office of Management and Budget Director Russell Vought.

Vought announced the freeze in posts on the social media site X.

Great decision. Surely it won’t help Momdani.

Face reality. The modern technologies made possible by the silicon chip has made central business locations unnecessary. Already as financial, banking, legal services and a myriad of varied businesses have left New York City, those huge, beautiful office towers that define Manhattan have unprecedented vacancy rates.Fewer and fewer people want to paythe high taxes, commute into the city and deal with the crime. Young families with children, especially minorities ( who are the majority in NYC) do not want to use NYC public schools or deal with the criminal, drug infested streets.

When “Democratic Socialist” Mamdani and his ilk take power the exodus will increase and the situation will worsen. The Republicans in Congress will refuse Biden like subsidies and bailouts. They will of course be accused of racism as New York declines and withers.

Momdani wants to be Mayor of the largest welfare camp in the world

NY City literally produces NOTHING - it skims off Wall Street, and its a giant pit for US government transfer payments.

Socialism does not work when you can’t control other people’s money, and when you have no power to put a gun to their heads.

Question: If NYC is knocked flat on its back how does that harm Americans in red states?

That’s the point. Nothing critical to the American economy now happens in New York City. What does it produce? The financial, banking and commercial services have already began their exodus and are connected to America functionally and instantly via the internet and new technologies. New York will contract and upwards to sixty per cent of the remaining residents will be non productive, unhappy and will demand subsidies. Sadly tourism will be its main industry. It will not be enough to sustain it.

Abandoned cities will try to find a way to tax your data that transits across the wires below their streets.

I live in the midwest. I was wondering if many businesses and people who are going to be robbed by government and rampant crime are already exiting NYC?

Is there already an exodus underway knowing the Marxist muzzard is sure to get elected?

These government agencies push the Didn't Earn It (DEI) contracts in order to control the flow of money to cronies and also some circled back into the Democrat machines.

They've been ripping off taxpayers for a century.

I have argued that a coalition of City States controlled America. By being corrupt and controlling election outcomes, the City State control was maintained in leftist hands. The City States controlled their states.

One problem, a very big problem was that black citizens segregated themselves in the city States. They became Black politicos and were given privilege that resulted in political power and often control.

The Blacks were courted because the Black minority was existential to the overall control.

As you say, the City States are in fact dying. Their death is good and absolutely necessary for America to resume being America.
