A Mississippi man who was arrested twice in the span of a month — once for allegedly arriving drunk to bail out a friend charged with driving under the influence, and again for an alleged DUI of his own — has died in custody, according to authorities. Felix Marquez Bartolo was discovered dead in his jail cell on Saturday at 5:30 p.m., according to a statement from Magee Police Chief Denis Borges.
Bartolo was jailed alone at the time, and emergency protocols were “immediately followed,” police said.
No foul play has been suspected, and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation has been called in to review the incident, cops added. Bartolo’s death came two days after he was arrested and hit with a slew of charges, including DUI, failure to obey traffic control devices, and a seatbelt violation, the Magee Police Department previously shared on Facebook. He was also allegedly behind the wheel without a valid driver’s license or proof of insurance, police said.

Depending on how you look at it that’s either a very bad month or a very bad month and a half for this feller.
OT: ALERT: 🚨 “Active Shooter” reported in Wolf Point, Montana
Should have stayed out of cars and rode his horse to town.

“Look at your eyes.”
“What’s wrong with my eyes?”
“They’re bright red. Bloodshot.”
“You oughta see ‘em from inside.”

You will STILL be charged, even if you rode a horse.
Ha. Hope it’s not knowledge you gained from personal experience.
Ray Bradbury saw a police report in Ireland of a traffic ticket issued to a local man by a police officer for being drunk and in charge of a bicycle.
Became the theme of a chapter in Zen and the Art of Writing.
Due to animal rights, the horse demanded the chance to get a good beer buzz going.
Nope, not from personal experience.
“The possum”, country and western singer George Jones, was arrested for taking his riding lawn mower to town to get more booze. He was on the road, but on the ‘shoulder’ when pulled over.
There’s articles every year about some drunk guy getting arrested on a horse, lawn mower, bicycle, etc.
I know of a guy who got arrested at NAB Coronado for being drunk while riding his bike up to the gate guard from off-base. He pulled out his ID, but never put his foot down to ‘catch’ himself. Ended up falling over, of course. Shore patrol ended up impounding his bike, and taking him to the base brig. But, this was in the late 80’s early 90’s.
I live a sheltered life. Never heard those stories.
