“Jails and incarceration and law enforcement is a sickness that has not led to safe communities,” Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson declared during a fiery press conference Tuesday, adding that he intends to “eradicate” that sickness.
Johnson made the remarks after a reporter asked him about his administration’s public safety plan. “I get so sick and tired of people believing that the only thing that Black and Brown and poor people get to get in this city are badges,” he continued. “No. It’s a sickness and we’re gonna eradicate it.”
Ald. Brendan Reilly (42nd), who recently announced a campaign to unseat Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle, pounced on the remarks.
“Every once in a while, President Preckwinkle & her protégé Mayor Johnson can’t help but let slip their indifference toward crime victims & their outright animosity toward local law enforcement,” Reilly wrote on Twitter. “Putting violent criminals in prison doesn’t protect communities?!? I will always stand with the victims of crime and back our courageous women & men in Blue, while promoting constitutional policing. Violent criminals must always be held accountable for their crimes.”

Chicago voted for this clown.
Now they’re getting him good and hard.

“This delusional mayor is destroying Chicago with his leftist lunacy.”
Chicagoans elected him, even after having Beetlejuice implement leftist policies.
There is no saving Chicago from itself.
Exactly, Chicongo brought this madness on themselves with their voting habits.
Or New York City or Commiefornia for that matter.
I suppose that a Chicago cop close to retirement should hang on, and hope for the best.
But younger cops should be sending out job applications to other departments. Because it ain’t gonna get any better in the Windy City.
He might live in America but he isn’t an American. He still has all the primitive African ways.
One way to eliminate ‘crime’ is to eliminate laws and law enforcement.
No laws, no crimes.....See how easy that is?................
Recent high-profile murders, Charlie’s assassination, and Trump’s threat to send the National Guard to Chicago are flushing this imbecile out into the open for all to see. And he’s dragging Democrat politicians and liberal judges out into the light with him.
Another criminal helping criminals and giving the finger to law abiding citizens
How mighty antifa of him.
Chicago citizens have the future in their hands. It’ll be a great future if that moron mayor is not in it. Send this clown back to what is is good at...which is...uh...uh...
Time to build the walls around these hellholes - you have to pass a test and a period of quarantine to move to red states.
They intentionally chose the harder left of two leftists.
Leftist ideology originated in the psychological professorate. They believe in it as the product of "the experts." Of course, that conclusion fails to recognize that psychological prescriptions are whatever is good for psychologists, and hence therefore inclined to promote dysfunction. Effectively, the profession has become a leech if it wasn't from the beginning despite its pitch to the rich that it would provide means for the powerful to control human behavior.
Don’t forget the five year moratorium on voting...
“Bless you prison, bless you for being in my life. For there, lying upon the rotting prison straw, I came to realize that the object of life is not prosperity as we are made to believe, but the maturity of the human soul”. - Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn
This guy makes Groot seem like a genius.
I rather hope Mayor Johnson actually "eradicates" law enforcement in Chicago. That "experiment" -- as the Left calls this stuff -- would last only days. Chicago's Democrat voters need to experience a full-throated "consequence" to their "truth."
Chicongoans are getting what they “DESERVE”.
