There were not protesters.
RFK Jr. just brought the house down at the Kennedy Center.
The entire building erupted in chants of “USA!” after he shared an unforgettable conversation he once had with Charlie Kirk about death.
“I had a conversation once with Charlie where we were talking about the danger that we both faced from challenging entrenched interests. And he asked me if I was scared to die. And I said to him, ‘There’s a lot worse things than dying.’”
Kennedy continued: “And one of the chief among us is losing our constitutional rights and having our children raised in slavery.
“I said to him at that time, ‘Sometimes our only consolation is that we can die with our boots on. We can die fighting for these things.’
“Charlie gave his life so that the rest of us would not have to suffer those fates worse than death. Now it’s our job. He’s no longer there to lead us. Rush in and fill the breach and win this battle for our country, for God, and for our families. Thank you.”
The crowd’s response was electric. Listen to how loud those chants of “USA!” became.

“ Ben Bergquam crying at the testimony of 14- year-old black kid whose “hero” is Charlie.”
And the 14 year old boy was from Washington DC. Charlie is having an impact everywhere.
I wore my 47 turning point cap today to a local memorial service. I’ve had it for a long time, but was not wearing it. Now I will.
My congregation’s custom is to have announcements at the very close of the service.
My Priest essentially offered a second sermon, talking about Charlie’s life (his late 20’s daughter had called him in tears on Wednesday) and about how we must engage others as Charlie did: Not compromising truth but never vilifying those with whom we disagree. He said that we must pray for Charlie’s family and, difficult as it is, we must pray also for the shooter that he repents.
The front pews were filled with late teen/early 20’s young men.
I too worry about a Wellstone type of event.

I knew Paul Wellstone, and I believe that he would have loved his “wake”.
Wow! Thank you for that. I was not inside for the event as I had another job to do. Wished I’d seen it.
We’ve been praying and hoping for revival in the country. Charlie’s martyrdom could be the impetus God is using to do just that.
There was a senior African American lady who drove a long way to come to the vigil but got there and was begging to be let in (full capacity) and very sad about it and another young man who was practically in tears because it was full. A young man with a dozen roses to give t in Charlies honor. People of all ages but a lot of middle aged people which was surprising. Lines were outside and around the building.
Were you at the Kennedy Center, tonight?
Wonderful, if so.
I’m sure there are replays on RSBN.
It is happening, and Charlie deserves much of the credit for stirring the hearts of young men.
This is NOT Promise Keepers v.2.0.
Yes.
Very nice.
The line shown on RAV, was YUGE! People just kept coming through.
Yes, they did. I heard the line formed around 2pm. The show was supposed to start at 6pm but since so many people showed and were in line they held the show until after 7pm.
“This is NOT Promise Keepers v.2.0.”
I certainly hope not. Promise Keepers was about feeeeelings, and showmanship. It did some good things, but didn’t have even close to the depth that TPUSA does.

If Trump had not cleaned up the crime in Washington DC, just think of all the violence that might have happened outside of the Kennedy Center last night. I have not heard of any violence done to people who came, whether they got in or not, and I hope that there was not any.
You make a good point. It is safer in DC. There was zero violence at the KC last night and I know that security there and Metro Police had zero tolerance for any potential problems. There may have been protesters- don’t know—but security locked the entrances to/from the parking garage to keep them out if they were there.
The other thing was nobody knew about the event except for Charlie’s followers—employees didn’t even know—so maybe the crazies were unaware as well. Thousands of people—thousands turned away by it was filled to capacity— it was a lovely night.
Mark Kelly is the last person who needs to talk about "unity."
