I think you can see he has something long wrapped up in black, go slow and see just before he jumps down, also as he hangs on roof with one hand, and also on the ground. He was carrying the gun wrapped up.

How did that security camera know to zoom in on, track, and pan with the suspect?

One possibility is that someone was monitoring the cameras and noticed suspicious activity and took control of camera. I used pan and scan cameras in my job, they ran on a schedule to take fixed snaps at certain locations, but I could take control at anytime and pan and zoom to wherever.

If he was carrying a gun, it wasn't the gun they described finding in the woods. That guy ran like a rabbit across that roof. There was no long-barreled rifle stuffed down his pants. And, he didn't drop down off that roof with a 4ft long, eight to ten pound old style Mouser rifle in his hands. A short 14" to 16" barreled AR? Maybe.

Not really. He dropped about 8 or 9 feet. A young person can often do that, especially if you roll when you land.

This footage looks legitimate. The shooter jumped off the building as safely as he could. Jumped onto grass but twisted his ankle. He might have broken an ankle bone. He might have twisted his knee. He is limping today and afraid to see a doctor or hospital.
