So true! I had a cousin who married in to the Mormon faith ... they had seven kids and definitely couldn’t ‘afford’ them. My aunt was always beside herself with worry about her son and the kids.
But, guess what? His wife stayed home and cooked, canned and sewed clothes for all of the kids. She made that measly paycheck of my cousin’s stretch to the next month.
They even took vacations (mostly visiting family, across the country).
And, they were the most polite company/visitors we ever had. You’d never know there were 7 kids visiting....all were so quiet and were so well mannered.

We pay a pretty price for the bulbs we use in the lamps, next to our reading chairs.

Trump unveils plan to end war in Gaza and warns Hamas about rejecting it
The Trump administration last week unveiled a Middle East peace plan to end the nearly two-year-long war between Israel and Hamas.
WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agreed to a peace plan that would lead to the release of hostages, end the war and put Gaza under new management — if Hamas also accepts.
The two leaders pitched the announcement as a major breakthrough in a conflict that has seen previous ceasefires fall through and regional tensions skyrocket as Israel continues a punishing campaign that has provoked international outrage over the civilian death toll and humanitarian conditions in Gaza.
It’s implementation is contingent on support from Hamas, which says it has not yet received the plan. Trump said at the White House event that if Hamas doesn’t accept, Israel will have full U.S. backing to continue military operations in Gaza.
*****As much as we don’t like the fact, dear Jane, the final paragraph of the highlighted portion I’ve posted of the above article does explain that this proposal hinges on Hamas accepting the terms.
