Thank you Daily Mail for not spinning this in a negative way for the mother or against guns.

Of course this could be turned into a race issue if the mother is white, you can question if it was truly necessary to shoot the intruder, or smart to have guns in a home with small children, bla bla bla.

You can ALWAYS create some form of doubt and in most cases a reciprocal argument (turning it on its head).

The bottom line in these sort of cases is: 1) You do not know what the intruders intentions are. 2) You do not know their state of mind. 3) You do not know what they are armed with. 4.) The person making the decision to defend themselves and their family usually has a short window of opportunity, a brief moment in time to make this decision.

You should not second guess people that are in such a situation as they do not have 20-20 hindsight knowledge.

That said, even though a life is taken and that is sad, that person was gambling with their life when they decided to break into peoples homes. The mother did absolutely nothing wrong. She did what should come natural, protect herself and her child.
