"California has way more House seats than it should because they have such a high population of illegal aliens," Vance says
Vice President Trump J.D. Vance called on the GOP to fight "as aggressively" on redistricting as Democrats have in blue states.
President Trump recently directed the U.S. government to begin work on a new Census and argued that illegal immigrants should not be counted.
Democratic legislators in Texas left the state last week after a committee approved a congressional map that could give 5 additional seats to the GOP.
"So, California has way more House seats than it should because they have such a high population of illegal aliens. So, they get rewarded for welcoming illegal aliens in their state, giving them federal benefits, actually asking the taxpayers of states like Ohio to subsidize them," Vance said on Sunday Morning Futures on Fox News.
"And then those same taxpayers in Ohio and Indiana and elsewhere, they have fewer congressional representatives because of what California has allowed to happen that's ridiculously unfair, and the only real way to fight back against it is for us to redistrict in some ways, as aggressively as these hard blue states have done," he added.

The Republicans if they gerrymander properly will pick up more seats nationally than the democrats.
The blue states are already pretty rigged in their favor, unfortunately too many red states aren’t being ruthless with their political power.
California has way more House seats than it should because they have such a high population of illegal aliens.
It’s why so many other states are willing to take them no crops to pick in the winter in the snow belt.
These high percentage illegal alien districts are just like the rotten boroughs in England in early 19th century.
Although the census call for a count of resident persons in a district, citizen status should be answered and determined as best as possible.
The argument that only citizens should count for apportionment of districts must be made.
Vance said it (quite well), people believe it (they see it with their own eyes), that settles it (if, and only if, we stay strong and engaged!)
Well, formal redistricting may typically be done every ten years but it seems that EVERY YEAR I hear of one or more DemocRAT judges or DemocRAT controlled State Supreme Courts ordering yet another redistricting favoring DemocRATS.
Yes, Mr. Vice President. About time the Repubs developed a backbone if only temporarily.
