” noob”

You do realize that anyone reading this thread sees your standard of intellectual engagement don't you?

I think most people who come here are looking for current information and informative discussion.

Perhaps you would like to try that?

Do you think your line of discourse would interest someone just coming to this forum to browse?
What is your intent? Why would you engage me in this manner?
Is this the extent of your capacity?

Have you no thoughts on the issues of the day?
Lets try again....
If Putin(the leader of Russia) drops a tack nuke (a big bomb)
on Kiev(that's in Ukraine), what happens next?
Now is your chance to redeem yourself, show us a little wisdom.

"I suppose you have read through this thread, have you noticed my question? How do you think the west will respond if Putin pops a tack nuke in Kiev? It seems no one wants to confront that possibility. How about you?"

If the period of COVID revealed anything about the collective West it is that we are cowards. If Putin pops a tactical nuke in Kiev the West will do what any coward would do, we'll avert our eyes and pretend it didn't happen or start making excuses.

Russia's nukes are on a "dead man's switch", which means to nuke Russia is to be retaliated against shortly thereafter.

“we'll avert our eyes”

Well, finally , thanks for the comment.

Covid, Gaza ...
it does look like the west has really got a soft under belly.
I'm afraid Putin sees that too.
He is not deterred by the threat of capitulation and negotiation.

Interesting times.

“a “tack” nuke . want to continue IDJIT , ??”

So that's it is it?
Have you reached the limit of your critical thinking?
A disparaging comment about my use of “tack” rather then tac?

That's the comment you have about what may be the defining topic of our time?
Well .... I appreciate your input.
Yes I chose “tack” as in sharp as a tack rather then “tac” as in tactical”. Peruse my past posts and you (well ...maybe not you) will find little word plays that entertain me.

Remember .. at any time, you can post a coherent informative post.
Perhaps it will change the perception you have created for yourself.

Trump is fine. Maybe you should take a Xanax.
——————
Tweeting and publically announcing nuke sub movements is something that is done through diplomatic and private channels. “ Conduct unbecoming “ comes to mind.

It is getting harder to support President Trump. Best he leaves items of this nature to professional, experienced diplomats….problem is we have none.

Exactly right about Medvedev—he’s just a mouthpiece for Putin.

All Trump is trying to do is end the war in Ukraine. To stop the senseless bloodshed. But instead of acting like a civilized nation, Russia struts around like it’s a global superpower. It’s not.

Trump threatens them with economic sanctions. But Russia’s response is to threaten us with nuclear war. They’re testing his resolve. That’s all this is.

Whether it’s Medvedev or Putin, we can’t let this kind of nuclear bluster go unanswered.

And Trump’s right about Russia’s “dead economy.” Their GDP is around $2.2 trillion—barely the size of Brazil or Italy. Ours is over $29 trillion. No contest.

Russia publicly and loudly threatens us with nuclear war and you think we need to respond through diplomatic channels?

That would make Trump look like a pussy.

If you don't know by know that Trump will not act like a pussy, you don't know Trump.

What if the Ukraine war spills into Poland, Estonia, Latvia, or Lithuania?

Putin isn’t just defending Russia—he’s trying to rebuild the old Soviet sphere.

When he looks at the EU and UK, he sees weakness—soft leaders, distracted by liberal, globalist politics—and he wonders: Who’s going to stop me?

Until recently, he thought the same thing about the US. What Putin and Medvedev are doing is assessing Trump’s resolve. If Trump were to signal that he only cares about what’s happening in the US, Putin would feel emboldened to continue with his plans.

Putin isn’t just defending Russia—he’s trying to rebuild the old Soviet sphere.

Putin publicly stated the lands of the Soviet Union were 'historical" Russian, laying ownership claims to all of the former Soviet Republics: Ukraine, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Lithuania, Moldova, Latvia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Armenia, Turkmenistan, and Estonia

President Vladimir Putin has lamented the collapse of the Soviet Union three decades ago as the demise of what he called "historical Russia" and said the economic crisis that followed was so bad he was forced to moonlight as a taxi driver. December 12, 2021

Putin's comments, released by state TV on Sunday, are likely to further fuel speculation about his foreign policy intentions among critics, who accuse him of planning to recreate the Soviet Union and of contemplating an attack on Ukraine, a notion the Kremlin has dismissed as fear-mongering.

"It was a disintegration of historical Russia under the name of the Soviet Union," Putin said of the 1991 breakup, in comments aired on Sunday as part of a documentary film called "Russia. New History", the RIA state news agency reported.

"We turned into a completely different country. And what had been built up over 1,000 years was largely lost," said Putin, saying 25 million Russian people in newly independent countries suddenly found themselves cut off from Russia, part of what he called "a major humanitarian tragedy".

Chernobyl was the first strike...

As a readiness planner once told me “Russia (i.e. USSR) is a 3rd world country with a 1st world military...” although the military is in shambles, there’s remains a nuclear componant that cannot be ignored.

Interesting, the other anti-America Putin man here who most resembles you, Jumper, said the same thing, that Trump should let the State Department handle his foreign policy.

To quote Jumper “”””At some point the American people will want their president to STFU and let the Dept of State handle the day-to-day talks and negotiations before he starts with his idiot mouth running two directions at once.””””
