President Donald Trump warned that reaching a new trade deal with Canada will be “very hard” after the country moved to recognize Palestinian statehood — just one day before a key tariff deadline.
“Wow! Canada has just announced that it is backing statehood for Palestine,” Trump posted on social media July 31. “That will make it very hard for us to make a Trade Deal with them.”
Trump’s warning coincides with a looming Aug. 1 deadline. If no new trade deal is reached by then, he plans to impose a 35% tariff on all Canadian goods not covered under the current US-Mexico-Canada trade agreement.
On July 30, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said Canada would recognize the state of Palestine at a September United Nations meeting, provided it holds elections and meets other conditions. He blamed the deepening humanitarian crisis in Gaza for prompting the decision.
“Canada condemns the fact that the Israeli government has allowed a catastrophe to unfold in Gaza,” Carney said in a statement, “regrettably” calling a two-state solution “no longer tenable.”
He pointed to the threat of Hamas terrorism, Israel’s continued settlement expansion, settler violence in the West Bank, and what he called Israel’s failure to prevent Gaza’s humanitarian collapse.
France and Britain made similar announcements this week.
According to Reuters, Canada is the top export market for the US and its second-largest trading partner, after Mexico. In 2024, Canada exported $412.7 billion in goods to the US and imported $349.4 billion, the outlet reported. Canada remains subject to US tariffs on steel, aluminum, and vehicle exports.
(Wow! Canada has just announced that it is backing statehood for Palestine. That will make it very hard for us to make a Trade Deal with them. Oh’ Canada!!!

Thank you, President Donald Trump 👍👍
How can the dumbass Palestinians have a State if they can’t even feed their people. That’s dumber than hell.
I would suggest making separate trade deals with Alberta and Sask.
👍👍
What the “Palestinians” are doing to Israel, the ruling class of Canada is doing to Canadians.
How can a third party recognize a two-state solution when one of the sides in the two-state equation doesn’t recognize (or gives a fook) the said solution?
The Bible says that in the End Times, EVERY country will turn its back on Israel. That, of course, includes us. I dread that day, though if I read my Bible correctly, as a Christian, I will have been taken to Heaven in the Rapture, before that takes place.
That’s going to be the amazing 🤩🤩🤩
thing that will astonish the
Whole World 🌍🌎🌏
Actual ‘Peace in the Middle East’
The World 🌏🌎🌍 will think this MUST
be “the messiah” but it will in fact be
Satan’s Antichrist.
Tribulation Saints will know because he
WILL confirm the “peace covenant” for
exactly 2,520 days.
Now when that ACTUALLY starts... dunno...
BUT they ALL keep pushing for it.
Remember that Satan’s Antichrist is
a “false Christ” - “instead of Christ”
A Satanic imitation of “Christ”
They need to put out their fires too
Air quality so bad we are told to stay inside for weeks on end
The previous administration pretty much did
So, apparently the key to gaining recognition of a Palestinian state is to invade Israel, kidnap and kill women and children, then claim that Israel is committing genocide when Israel strikes back.
“Palestinian state”
They already had one.
What did they do? They elected Hamas and perpetually attacked Israel.
Blow Them Up!
As of July 29, 2025, the Gaza Health Ministry reports that over 60,000 Palestinians have been killed in the ongoing war—including more than 18,500 children and nearly 9,800 women. These numbers are staggering and heartbreaking. No matter where you stand politically or theologically, we cannot ignore the sheer scale of this humanitarian catastrophe.
The United States, through its military aid and unwavering diplomatic support, is complicit in what can only be described as ethnic cleansing—if not outright genocide. This is not a defensive campaign. This is the systematic destruction of a people. Backing Israel in this context means backing those actions, whether we intend to or not.
Let’s be honest: no military operation can justify killing tens of thousands of civilians to target a militant group. This is not “reasonable collateral damage”—it’s a moral failure on an international scale.
Even Canada has now called for Palestinian statehood, a recognition that Palestinians have the right to self-determination and to live on their land in peace. That’s not a radical position; it’s a just and humane one.
As a conservative Christian, I was once taught to stand with Israel. But witnessing what is happening in Gaza has forced me to reconsider that support. Backing a state doesn’t mean giving it a blank check to commit war crimes.
Excellent post. I don’t see how any Christian can ignore or be ok with what is being done to the civilians there. And the US is 100% complicit in this. If I were to expand on what I really think I’d be banned. I go to X to do that lol.
