This is near Reelfoot Lake.
That confirms that he is insane.

Chop this guy up and feed him to the catfish - except even catfish might turn their noses at this piece of crap.
It’s not random but personal, according to authorities. He has a criminal record and was involved in drug dealing, served prison time recently. Police are keeping mum on some details. I think they just want to get the killer off the street.
I checked Google Maps - geez, we were on that road when we went exploring around Reelfoot Lake a couple years ago.
If he comes on MY street (road) anywhere near my family he’s gonna get a 12 ga. buckshot round in the face. If (more likely) one of my neighbors doesn’t get him 1st, that is.
I have been to Feel foot. Solid crappie.
I am never going into the woods again ( unless I am...... oh wait nevermind)...
And... a lot of our Sheriff’s deputies are crack shots. (Much better than me.) Shootouts invariably don’t end well for the perps, and, unlike most of what I see on You Tube, etc., usually not a lot of shots are fired by the deputies. Maybe they have to pay for their own ammo?
Upper South.
Yes, there are lots of varied habitats in that lake! I’ve never fished it (just explored), but, I’d like to give it a shot, someday. But, then, there are a lot of lakes nearer to me I still want to try - and I found 4 more in So. IL a couple weeks ago, in and around Hamilton County. So. IL, West KY, SE MO, Arkansas, West Tennessee - I find them faster than I can try them!!!
It is sad to think I have to worry about possibly needing to defend myself or my family even around here...
I have been to Reelfoot. Pretty awesome.
I spent years in my youth hiking and camping along the Pacific Crest Trail north of LA and in the Santa Lucia Forest between King City and Big Sur. With friends and often alone. Well, not counting the coyotes who used to follow me like spirit animals.
I met a guy hiking with his 5 year old son along a trail in a wilderness area north of LaVerne/Glendora in 1987 and he was carrying a Beretta 92 on his hip. I asked him why kinds of animals he expected to run into up there and he said “the two-legged kind.” Seems California law allows open carry in wilderness, just not in “civilization” (such as it is).
I had been Army for 8 years at this point, proficient (expert) in rifle, pistol and owned several then but it had NEVER occurred to me to carry anywhere, anytime even though I’d had minor run-ins with bear, puma and the area my friends and I were hiking in at that time had what seemed to be permanent residents in some REMOTE areas, people I learned later from park rangers, cops, others, were largely ex-cons, veterans, and sketchy kinda addict/bipolar/antisocial types in general who built tin/cardboard shacks and at least two teepees we saw in one place. Oddly, there was a 1950’s-era Willys jeep racked up on some rocks in a place it took us two days to hike into. Never did figure out how the hell it got there from the maps I had..
I really thought about that guy and that trip long and hard. Naive, leading a charmed life up to that point, I don’t know, but I have NEVER not carried when I can since.
Shouldn't it be one count of Felon in possession and 4 counts of possession during a felony? Or did he have four guns and shot all 4 people with a single bullet after discarding the other 3 guns?
“Father’s throat slashed, daughter attacked while camping in GA”
We carry everywhere we go. People think they are safe from attackers out in the woods or in peaceful campgrounds but there are two-legged predators there as well.
Just like the Arkansas couple killed earlier this week. They probably assumed anyone out hiking would naturally be a good guy.
Yeah, I think somebody scrambled that...
He won’t get far.
Gee, and unfortunately, you didn’t see a thing, did you?
Who, me???
