Donald Trump Tears Into 'Too Angry, Too Stupid' Jerome Powell
Newsweek ^ | 7/31/25 | Hugh Cameron

Posted on 07/31/2025 5:33:50 AM PDT by DallasBiff

President Donald Trump launched a scathing attack on Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell on Thursday, after the central bank again voted to leave interest rates unchanged.

"Jerome 'Too Late' Powell has done it again!!! He is TOO LATE, and actually, TOO ANGRY, TOO STUPID, & TOO POLITICAL, to have the job of Fed Chair," Trump posted to Truth Social on Thursday morning.

"He is costing our Country TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS," Trump continued, before calling the ongoing renovations to the Fed's D.C. headquarters "one of the most incompetent, or corrupt, renovations of a building(s) in the history of construction!"

Newsweek has contacted the Federal Reserve for comment.

End the Fed.

Who or what has the authority to do that?

With what should it be replaced?

Who or what has the authority to create the replacement?

Serious questions, not snark or arguments against.

The Reserve is a totally independent agency. Powell is not supposed to be on board with any President’s agenda.

Meh. President Trump has been raging like King Lear for months. Issuing tirades without backing them up reeks of impotence. Powell has demonstrated zero concern for these insults.

Are you going to fire the other 12 members who vote too? Trump still hasn’t realize the fed chair is not a dictatorship.

How is the Fed itself not an unconstitutional politburo?

Oh geez, an "independent agency".

So you admit the Fed answers to nobody?

And, that's not a problem?

May can’t get here quick enough - Powell is trying to sway the 2026 elections by screwing with the economy...it’s starting to look like treason.

That’s a different argument which Trump doesn’t seem interested in getting rid of at this time.

Yes, but the Reserve is supposed to look out for the best interest of the country. With inflation under control for months now and tariffs proving to have a muted effect on prices, curious as to why you/Mr Powell believe the rates should not be cut?

BTW, don't you think it's unconstitutional for Congress to create and fund an agency that is NOT part of the executive branch?

The Fed was an unconstitutional creation. In theory, a court could end it.

The great depression was a result of the strong US economy bailing out the English banking system.

The US economy was burning full tilt, Fed lowered the interest rate to keep the English banks afloat. Like pouring gasoline on a fire of red hot coals.

BOOM CRASH.

The Globalists are at it again. CIA is even worse influence.

Trump represents Main Street businesses. The Big Cheese organizations HATE TRUMP, he intends to push control back to the Community Level.

Who would you trust? Your local Banker or DC or The World Bank?

Actually none of the above would be OK.

Trust is earned. Business relationships are built.

Free the Republic!
