The Simpsons creator Matt Groening has suggested that the show won’t end until Donald Trump dies.
The series has been running since 1989, becoming the longest-running animated TV show and sitcom ever.
However, while speaking at San Diego Comic-Con, Groening said that there was “no end in sight” – though did make one prediction.
“I honestly thought 36 was where we were going to end it,” he said (via Variety). “No, there’s no end in sight. We’re going to keep going. We’re going to go until somebody dies.”
“When you-know-who dies, The Simpsons predicts the there will be dancing in the streets. Except President [J.D.] Vance will ban dancing,” he added.

The Simpsons died shortly after season 9 was in the can; everything after that has been a walking corpse.
Someone got a little big for his britches. It took a long time, but I suspect he wants to end the show and Trump would be his excuse.
It’s not a matter of that. I watched it, too. Because it was funny for 6-8 years. What is it, about 20 episodes a year? It’s simply impossible for 700 or so variations on an amusing story to remain funny
That's why its not funny anymore. He doesn't know when to get off the stage. Watching the show anymore is cringe. Dancing in the streets when Trump dies? Talk about someone who no longer knows how to read a room.
Or Matt Groaning dies.

I never liked the Simpsons. Never watch it. What a piece of crap Groening is to say such a rotten thing.
What an IMMATURE JERK. His show is only watched by OTHER immature jerks.
Even if that should happen any time soon, Matt G. is convinced of how important his cartoons are, meaning he would find some way to rationalize keeping the program going anyway. The goal posts would simply be shifted forward again.
South Park is significantly better.
