5 vs. 6 syllables, it’s a bit forced, I’d admit, but 4 vs 5 would stretch a note.

"Break'n my mind" may be four syllables, but it was three distinct notes...forcing them to sing "break'n" with only extending the long a sound in the note and putting the "k'n" at the end like an ending consonant rather than a syllable.

Works better with three syllables for the three notes.
