NPR’s Editor-in-Chief Resigns After Passage of $9 Billion Rescissions Package

NPR’s Editor-in-Chief Edith Chapin announced she will leave her post by the Fall after the passage of the $9 billion rescissions package.

House Republicans passed a sweeping $9 billion rescissions package last Thursday that delivers a knockout punch to globalist pet projects and leftist propaganda machines like NPR and PBS.

The vote was 216–213, with only two Republicans—Reps. Brian Fitzpatrick and Mike Turner—breaking ranks to side with Democrats in opposition.

Edith Chapin said she made the decision on her own to step down and that it had nothing to do with the rescissions package.

NPR reported:

NPR’s editor in chief and acting chief content officer Edith Chapin told colleagues Tuesday morning that she has decided to step down.

The veteran news leader’s announcement comes just days after the Republican-led Congress, driven largely by President Trump’s claims of liberal bias at NPR, voted to strip public broadcasting of all federal funding.

Chapin says the choice was hers and not driven by the action in Congress. In a brief interview, she says she surprised NPR CEO Katherine Maher with her decision two weeks ago.

I have to wonder how the gravy train being over, and not just in the recissions thing, figures into cutting off the late night hate Trump fest it had become over the past ten years

Had National Public Radio not insisted on being National DemocRAT Radio, perhaps bottom-dwelling leftist fan club radio might have survived.

Looking at her photo, she looks like the kind I have to watch out for if they come close to my Tesla Cybertruck.
