As I recall, some of the Russiagate activity by 0bama and his people was in the aftermath of Trump's election, while 0bama was still in office--wasn't it?
So, mere perjury (jail time) then also becomes treason ("hang time," so to speak) against the American people by defrauding the US government's electoral system and attempting to reverse the lawful decision of the American people. That's an act of war against the US, so there's no way 0bama's being in office could protect him.
Last time I checked (now, on ChatGPT), treason wasn’t an official act. In general, taking part in a treasonous conspiracy cannot be considered an “official act” by a U.S. president under constitutional law.

While seeing Obama sitting in a court room would make us feel good, making his name a pariah for the next 250 years would be much better. I am sure he is not worried about criminal prosecution, but for his name to forever elicit scorn, like Benedict Arnold, surely has him concerned.
