Good thing LA doesn’t have a Fort Sumpter. Bass thinks she is P.T. Beauregard.

“Good thing LA doesn't have a Fort Sumpter.”

Some students call it Fort Sumter; regardless the states lost their rights and remedies after the disaster at Appomattox.

Ms. Bass would have been on the wrong side of that arbitrament I'm sure.

“Bass thinks she is P.T. Beauregard”

That IS the point.

She’s seceding. She now claims the right to decide who is a citizen. As far as she’s concerned, any warm body who shows up in LA is now an “Angeleno”.

She has no such authority. A war was fought over “who is a citizen” - her family wasn’t included in 1860.

The States claimed the authority before that. Now she thinks she runs a city-state with all sovereign power.

We know how the Federal government of the Union reacted to the first instance of such a claim.

Time to repeat the reaction.

Sounds like obstruction. Send her to Gitmo. That way she’s close to where her hero’s are buried.
