The Trump Administration Responds to Amnesty Rumors
https://pjmedia.com ^ | July 08, 2025 | Matt Margolis

On Monday, Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk warned that there’s a concerted “influence campaign” underway in Washington to quietly steer President Donald Trump toward granting mass amnesty—even after he secured a major border-and-security funding package. Kirk says elite “ruling class” players, emboldened by recent spending wins, are now pressuring Trump to “come to the middle” on immigration by legalizing up to 25 million undocumented residents.

Since the promise of mass deportations helped win Trump the White House, conservative voters now fear that a shift toward “soft amnesty” could alienate their base.

Don’t worry, the Trump administration has put those rumors to bed.

Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins made it plain: The era of open borders and unchecked foreign influence in American agriculture is over. Addressing the persistent rumors swirling around so-called “mass amnesty” for illegal aliens, Rollins made it clear, “There will be no amnesty.”

She continued, “The mass deportations continue, but in a strategic way, and we move the workforce towards automation and 100% American participation, which again, with 34 million people, able-bodied adults on Medicaid, we should be able to do that fairly quickly.”

So the administration’s deportation efforts are not only ongoing, but they’re also intensifying. For years, Americans have watched politicians on both sides of the aisle play games with border security, offering empty promises and half-measures. Now, under Trump’s leadership, there’s no ambiguity: the law will be enforced, and America’s sovereignty will not be bartered away for political convenience.

Kirk’s revelation on Monday was a real gut punch to the America First movement: “You would think that, hey, we get $175 billion for ICE, we're gonna get mass deportations. We're gonna be able to have now the largest deportation effort ever. Yes, in theory, but in practice, there's something else afoot.”

I grew up in Pueblo, Colorado. High AG presence in the state back in the 80s and 90s. Not too sure now because I’ve been gone for so long, but back then, the farmers had their handpicked crews who came in for harvest season. They’d usually keep one “Old Man” and his family who kept things going year-round but come harvest time the crews would come in by the hundreds. Each farm had a set of trailers where the crews would bunk down. They’d work, they’d eat, and they’d sleep. That’s about it for a solid two months or so. The farmers paid them very well and then they’d be gone until next year. They definitely didn’t stick around all year long. Every year, a bunch of us high school kids would get hired on to do the same work they were for the same money. It was damned hard work, but it paid for cars, Christmas, ski trips, new rifles etc. I only did it one year. I had a belly full of it after that. I worked the grain hopper on a wheat harvest. Hot, dusty, nasty business.

“25 million undocumented residents”

In other words: illegal aliens.

Don’t bite, Mr. President. Immigration is the issue that got you elected.

A Trump amnesty for illegals is the best way for Republicans to lose the mid terms.
By a big margin.
Hopefully, Trump hasn’t gone stupid.

Yeah, that’s not going to happen. It would cripple Trump, destroy the Republican Party, legalize the destruction and corruption wrought by the Democrats, and cement the Dems as the real power - the same people who tried to jail and murder him. No way this will happen short of DJT going full Biden and someone from the DS doing the autopen routine.

There have been transient migrant visa for AG work for decades...I’m fine with those as they are legal and temporary and don’t (or shouldn’t) count in the census.

What I would not be ok with is anything that allowed those working outside the system to do anything other than returning to their countries and then applying for the migrant visa program if they work in AG or whatever other visa they want.

I’m also not ok with the whole H-1B visa scheme which doesn’t force companies to use US workers first before requesting visa allottments (see recent microsoft layoffs while requesting near equivalent H-1Bs in the last few months as a point)

Time will tell. If Trump breaks this promise, there will never be another Republican president. I’ve had enough campaign lies to last three lifetimes.

Eight months in, and the Democrats still don’t get it, Trump enforcing the laws of the land is beyond their understanding. After all, no Democrat has had to obey any law since about 1932. JFK perhaps was trying to change that and we saw what happened to him.

We saw what happened to Epstein too, having him around possibly ready to testify in open court was too big a risk.

We saw what happened a year ago in Butler, PA.

This rule of law is a dangerous thing for those who believe in it. But the choice is very clear, go back to the rule of law, or lose freedom in a death of a thousand cuts. And 500 of those were already made. It’s a bleeding patriotic America that is fighting back.

“Don’t worry, the Trump administration has put those rumors to bed.”

Bwahaha!!!

Jorge W Trump and his lying ag hag are indeed treating ag laborers like 5th class citizens. First, they’ve unconscionably long been exempt from minimum wage laws in many cases. Second, they’ve long had lower cost, slave-condition illegals undercutting their potential jobs. Third, this has led to a grotesque and increasing distortion of working conditions that are often sub-human by normal American standards.

But Jorge Trump and the ag hag are pushing them back further, looking to codify in Congress special exemptions that won’t get the illegals out of their markets and towns.

(Then weirdly and unjustifiably, Trump is also looking to tuck hospitality workers in there for special, continued, illegal competition as well.)
