Veteran Democratic strategist James Carville predicted Democrats would pick up 40 seats in the 2026 midterms after the GOP-led House of Representatives passed President Donald Trump's "One Big Beautiful Bill" this week.

Just don’t get your lottery numbers from Jimmy. He’s getting really old.
My favorite Democrat. I’ve known him for fifty years now.
I predict the Raiders will win the Super Bowl every year too.
When is that fossil gonna die already?
He hasn’t been right about anything in 30 years but this time......NOPE.
What a delusional nutball.
I thought Cleveland was supposed to win the Super Bowl!
“Carville discussed how the bill could change the course of the midterms during an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper and Democratic strategist Paul Begala”

That’s a proper circle jerk if there ever was one.
-
And BTW, that jackass Begala is a particularly nasty piece of work.
‘Snake Head’ has been corret about So
Many other things!

Wishful thinking?
But what’s the reality. At this point, the donkey party can’t quite seem to avoid or shake off the whiff of doom.
Remember his prediction several months ago that in 30 days, something terrible was going to happen to Trump? I do too.
BUY BEAR STEARNS!
Isn’t this the guy that predicted Harris would win?
It’s been my studied opinion that hateful people seem to hang on forever......taterhead biden is another example.
The older they get, the more nasty.......both of ‘em
I had a two minute visit with James 30 yrs ago. He was jogging on the Mall in DC and I greeted him by name. He stopped to chat.
At the time he was in his power zone in the Clinton white house.
Today, not so much.
I heard he applied for one of the alligator jobs at Alligator Alcatraz.
If the Trump administration prioritizes election fraud prosecution and ballot reform (as they damn well better be), I’m confident the GOP will hold the reins of government for the foreseeable future.
The Dems “should” win back seats during the mid terms simply because that is the normal pattern.
If inflation stays low, unemployment stays low, and the tax bill results in meaningful results to the average worker, then the Dems might either break even or they lose. If Trump can negotiate a peace in Ukraine AND navigate the impact of the Medicaid cuts then he should do OK.
It’s always the economy. If people are working, they have a decent place to live, and their bellies are full then the results will favor the incumbents.
But I never over estimate the GOPs ability to screw up a good thing.
He made a big bold prediction a couple months ago that was negative for Trump. He was 100% wrong. Some people never learn.
