Here’s what to know about clean energy in Republican megabill headed to Trump
AP, WDIO ^ | 7/3/25 | ALEXA ST. JOHN

Congress passed a massive tax and spending cuts package Thursday that curbs billions of dollars in spending across clean energy. That means people will be paying a lot more for home solar, energy efficiency and other green technologies — and the nation’s efforts to address climate change just got a lot more challenging.

The bill supports mining, drilling and production of the oil, coal and gas that are largely driving Earth’s warming and the increasingly deadly and costly extreme weather that comes with it. Producing and burning these fossil fuels also contributes to air pollution and human health problems.

AP not knowing where taxes come from.

Also, if these are great ideas, the market will embrace them.

No. They will not pay more for solar. The price will come down by the amount of any subsidies just the same amount they went up. Competition has a way of working things out. 😁😁

The good news is there may be fewer commercials of uncle fester telling us to hurry to get in on the subsidies.

Time to end the grift.

I hope the BBB can stop the wind turbine project on top of the escarpment in E Stephens County (Texas y’all) and the Palo Pinto line.

They started bringing in equipment two months ago.

*Late last Winter, signage marking overhead power lines on the FM roads off IH-20 from Ranger were removed by locals.

It still subsidizes some green nonsense like Hydrogen power. That’s one of Capito’s pet projects in WV. I predict the two plants will be closed by the end of Trump’s term. A Rat administration could revive it but not likely here. There’s a partial quote from her in the article.

It keeps people alive, so they can die much later in life. Poverty kills, and abundant electricity keeps people out of poverty.
