Unilever is reportedly cutting off millions of dollars in funding to the Ben & Jerry’s charitable foundation after it refused to provide audit documents about donations to pro-Palestinian groups, escalating an internal dispute between a corporate parent and its left-leaning subsidiary.
Peter ter Kulve, head of Unilever’s ice cream division, informed Ben & Jerry’s executives via email that the foundation’s trustees “have continued to resist basic oversight” and are not cooperating with requests from corporate auditors, according to the news site Semafor.
“It represents a marked departure from the norms of charitable organizations, for whom transparency is typically a bedrock operating principle,” ter Kulve wrote in the email, which was obtained by Semafor.
The audit process is part of Unilever’s ongoing effort to spin off its ice cream business, which includes the famously left-leaning Vermont-based brand.

Unilever needs to cut Ben & Jerry's altogether. I assume the problem thus far is that they can't find a buyer that wants the brand.
Left leaning?, Hey Ariel Zilber of the NYP, MAJOR fail.
Hahahahahahahahaha!
Butthurt Lefties are aways good news!
The last tub of ice cream I bought was Haagen daz about 20 years ago. It went bad after a year in the freezer. Would never even think of buying commie Ben and Jerry.
Ben & Jerry’s gets free money, then doesn’t want to tell the group that gave them the money, where that money went. RATS have been doing that to American citizens for decades. Can we cut them off?
They are washing their hands of it!................
Funding Palestinian terrorist groups?
Not a good look for Unilever.
I don’t think the current administration will overlook it either.
Shut it down, sell off the equipment, buildings and real estate and close the doors.........................
Let’s see......
Ben & Jerry
Has-Been & Jerk-Off
They should shut down the foundation, refer its leaders for possible prosecution.
Never bought Ben & Jerry’s or ever tried it. I usually buy Breyer’s Carb Smart Chocolate for Hot Fudge Sundaes, or Perry’s Rainbow Sherbet. I rarely eat any other flavors.
If they fire the whole management and stop supporting the destruction of civilization, I MIGHT buy some, maybe............
“Not a good look for Unilever.”
Not a good look for you.

I never buy Ben & Jerry’s. It’s too expensive for one thing and I don’t want to support their ignorance and evilness for another.
I’m happy with the cheap ice cream. Kroger brand Rocky Road flavor works fine for me. This week it was on sale for $1.99 so I purchased two.
We have no Kroger’s here in central NY State. One of the local stores, Price Chopper has their own brand of ice cream. I bought their rainbow sherbet once, and threw it away after the first taste because it was horrible. Had a bad aftertaste. I figured if they can ruin sherbet, there’s not much hope for their other ice cream flavors. I’m not crazy about ice cream that has bits of chocolate mixed in. The only ice cream I’ll buy with anything in it is butter pecan.
I bought a couple of pints to reward Unilever for sh&@ canning the leftist pig ceo of Ben and Jerry’s a few months ago. I will buy another couple to reward them for this. Positive reinforcement to companies that get rid of leftists is important imho.
Ben & Jerry are currently trying to buy back their ice cream company because they believe Unilever is thwarting the company’s political and social activism.
Blue Bell
Blue Bell, the best ice cream in the the country.
Pralines and cream for me.
NO ICE CREAM LASTS A YEAR IN MY FREEZER.....
