Yeah the newscasters couldn’t stop laughing. I get the impression it was a surprise to them.
I think we’re all feeling what Glenn Beck is feeling. This is making the rounds on X - hopefully the useless AG Bondi sees it. Not that it will matter.

Does the chiropractor help your back?
One of these days I’m showing up for lunch and dinner. Maybe breakfast! Your meals sound really yummy.
Have Started Loving coconut milk lately, the canned stuff. Ever since I made dal earlier this year. Trying to find things I can make that I wasn’t allergic to. Your soup sounds great, I’m going to try it.
Spot on!
I’m happy you feel better!!
I like good news.
TY auntB!
Well, as as usual for me, I overdid it. I felt so good that I walked too much. So the last couple days have been rough. Starting to feel better now so I’m going to moderate. Not my best thing! But I’ll try.
How are you doing, do you have heat?
...
Heat? I’m waiting for service call #5.
Baby it’s cold.
How’s your arm? When does your nifty cushion come in?
I ordered some eye drops from Australia. They’re made with Manuka, honey, which is only made in Australia. Apparently FDA has decided it’s no good, but I’ve been using them for 10 years so I know they work just fine. So I had to find another source
My eye drops are having a better vacation than I have had. I saw them get on the plane in Australia, and then board another plane, but they didn’t say where. Then they showed up at New York City. Apparently, they passed customs and now they are on their way. Such cute tracking.
Hi CB....my magic cushion arrives tomorrow, and not a minute too soon. I’ll be disappointed if it doesn’t help!
Kids have a snow day today, so they’re over watching a movie or something. I had my two good friends over yesterday for coffee and cheesecake. We sat for a few hours and caught up - I’ve known these girls since the kids were born. One of them I actually met when I was the property manager of a large apartment complex 39 years ago! Oh man.....that’s a long time. I rented her and her sister an apartment. She had a crush on my younger brother-in-law who used to hang out at the building’s indoor pool. They hung out for awhile but he fell for someone else. I assured her that she’d dodged a bullet.....actually a whole arsenal lol. Magazines, flame throwers, explosives.....we’ve laughed about it over the years.
So nice that you and your eye drops will be united! I recall ordering some eye drops for someone on The Train a couple of years ago. They weren’t available from Amazon in America, but they shipped into Canada no problem. They were the only kind that helped her so I got them and sent them to her. Strange thing about America and eye drops! Maybe the dems don’t want people to see very clearly lol.
Yeah, all the crazy rules with international shipping of medication’s. I remember when you sent that lady eye drops, very nice of you. I did look to see if the eye drops could be shipped from Canada, but it looks like nobody wants to ship from the US except this one place that let me do it from Australia. They must not have got the word yet so I ordered extra.
What a nice reunion! I bet your friends will drive far away for your cheesecake. I’m tempted to drive to Canada one day so I can get some. In the meantime, I did make it to Johnson City today! My first outing driving by myself. I went to the allergist and got an allergy shot, the start of the immunotherapy treatment which will take forever. But hopefully helps. The guy is pretty neat, I love his Polish accent. Wonderful that he is a success story, can come here and create a little allergy empire. He travels a lot, goes to like four different cities in a week. Sounds exhausting to me.
Did your friend ever find a nice guy? I’m glad you warned her off of the brother-in-law.
Now let’s see you managed an apartment building, and I remember you did something with Granite and redecorating. And of course, lots of homeschooling! You have had quite a varied career. And now, of course, the sweater empire!
My friend found a very nice guy, in that very apartment building. They’ve had a lovely life.
Congrats on your first big outing! It’s the little things lol.
Lol kind of careers on the fly. Stuff that just happened, nothing for which I had any education or training. I think the thing I had the most fun was my tutoring business. I wrote my own phonics reading/spelling/writing program, did a number of radio shows up here, helped out in the local school board (even though my kids weren’t there) and was fairly active trying to get this system to stop churning out illiterates. In the end, I concluded it was intentional, but had a good business going in my school room. Two classes every night, Monday thru Thursday, 4 kids per class. It paid for the private Christian schools when the kids went into the system, plus some.
I only got into the fabricating business (countertops) when I volunteered at a local business (through a friend) just to find out how far out of touch I was with working full-time. Long story short, I discovered the operations manager was stealing and doing side jobs in the shop, using company material, charging the company for his time then taking the countertops and selling them to his friends. He was gone within a month and I was the new Operations Manager lol.
That countertop busy was lucky to find you. They would’ve blasted a lot of money otherwise.
Your program and tutoring business sounds amazing. Not to mention keeping you very busy.
