That sucks!
I can relate. For us its year round
We’re just living on my Social Security now. Lower as during my peak real estate sales years my income was sheltered by good tax attorney. It was wonderful then. I always had mentality that SS should not be your sole golden years income
But here we are.
Jeff would live to work but can hardly walk. He has no training for desk type job. He had a construction company years ago. Fell apart with his marriage. Hes done lots of fast food n retailing and all depending on mobility and lifting. He does bring heavy items from Radish(my red SUV ) but suffers terribly as a result
>>>>>Just getting ready for bed as we get up at 4:30 to head to church by 6:15!! LOL....
I’ll check back with you tomorrow my friend. Love from La Verne.

Now thats an early service. Is it a mega church with 4 or 5 services?
Started out as a bible study with three couples...
grew to meeting in a rented room....
then we built a church.
Calvary Chapel Chino Hills.
One service...
two services....
during the covid close down our pastor said " no way"....we will obey God.
Our attendance EXPLODED! People came from everywhere!
... we now have 3 services on Sunday and a HUGE ministry online each week.
but it is ALL to the GLORY of God, not a man..
Our pastor is as humble as can be!
Yes I go to the early service which starts at 8am... but we fellowship and visit together for a hour and a half before time.
I am 84 years old and love EVERY minute of our worship.
Our Pastor prayed to open Congress this past year, and guess who condemned him?... RIGHT.. The muslim Democrats in Congress! HA....
I’ve been caught more than once sharing a story I THOUGHT was true.
(It’s so embarrassing!)

LOLOLOL~ NO~....
... not you LTOS! haha
Lived in Eagle Rock, Ca all of my life, until the last 7 years.
My husband passed away in 2021 after a long illness with Parkinsons.
I just turned 84.
We were foster parents for 40 of our 63 years of marriage.
I have our last adopted daughter ( special needs) age 34, living with me still.
There's a bit of history for you.(smiles)
I've been part of FreeRepublic since before George Bush's Presidency.
Thats a great tree - wish i could see it up close!
Thanks for sharing photos

Your post shows how poor my geography is. I had to look up Eagle Rock LaVerne!
Well im betting you never heard of Quaker Gap NC either but we are a tiny village
Whens your birthday? Mines nov 6. I just had a dreaded decade turnover birthday
You have been a caregiver a long time…are one of the other children willing to take your special needs daughter, when the time comes? Im sure this weighs heavily on your heart
And until your hubby’s passing you cared for both

A great interview and prayer with Charlie Kirk and my pastor who was a close friend of pastor.
Appreciate your post. Im not familiar either the books you listed. My parents had a slew of books and way back then my worries were what color lipstick to wear not, healthy eating and lifestyles.
But my parents raised us healthy. No softdrinks in house. All scratch cooking 3,big meals a day. Didnt think much about it. Just figured everyone was the same
I really enjoyed the herb class. Havent taken a class for years. I was over forty when i went to grad scholl and really love study, learning and research.
Ill listen to that tomorrow when im out and have more than one data bar on my phone.
Videos and streaming next to impossible here most of time
Its close to BEEP BEEP TIME
I would love a small village.
I turned 84 on November 9th.... so we are close.
You hit some nails square on....
My dear daughter does weigh heavy on my heart, but God is good.
She is very independent... actually graduated from High School.
She can live alone , is very capable. Has a mild learning disability along with mild Cerebral Palsy from being born addicted to drugs...
... it's the finances that are the issue right now.
I'm looking to our Lord and Savior for answers.
No matter how carefully one plans for the future, one never knows what can happen.
I never thought my “golden years” would be like this.
But we take it one dy at a time, and keep trusting in God.
Oh yes...right on this very thread, and i was “called” on it too.
I was SO Embarrassed.
Very pretty!!
Thx for the ping!
I totally identify with your post, Dolly!!
Plus, I also did grad school in mid-life. Amazing I made it past 30 (having taken great advantage of the late 60s), but grad school made me a born-again conservative when I took a Constitutional Law class, and things started to turn in the right direction!
Dentist done for 2025
No extradition which he originally suggested. . Id have bled like crazy with a Motrin n 2 Excedrins in me.
I had an extraction last spring(24) and had to go to the ER asI was bleeding so heavily.
So he just filled her up and said he’ll see if this will help. Apparently it’s at a bad place. That’s hard to get at
The shot still haven’t worn off so we’ll see how it does. I guess it may be a little bit like my back. It’s never gonna be quite the way it should be and you have to just sort of sometimes get used to it,
but I’ll eat today. Haven’t eaten since Thursday

I want to take a minute and thank all of you that posted, texted and called to offer condolences. I am truly blessed to have and know such wonderful & amazing people in my life. I love everyone of you!
The neighbor was arrested last night. We found out this afternoon he has an $800,000 bond. Don’t know if he’s been released yet. I talked to the lead detective and prosecutor today - both are on their game and are pushing for the maximum sentence possible. There is a restraining order against him , we’re hoping it’s for a 1,000 feet - that would mean he can’t go back to his house.
Although today was difficult, we managed to get several items checked off the to-do list. The next few days we’ll work to finish the list - if I can quit adding to it.
Tommy and Alisa also have a very strong support system of friends and family. It may sound silly, but having that support eases my worries.
