Lolo vegetable hospice. So true!
The smoke alarm used to double as the dinner bell in my house, years ago.
how much snow did you get ?
here - Illinois - snow covered ground upon waking today. expecting two more inches by 8 p.m. tomorrow.
planning on driving to wichita falls tx in 2 weeks - staying til thanksgiving or so. Hoping for golf weather.
No such luck - going from 70s-80s this week - next week - to rain and snow by and freezing temps by the end of the month.
It’s snowin’ to beat the band here! Pretty early in the winter for this much snow, even for us.
The ground is covered, it’s blowing straight across when you look out the windows. It’s going to go all day.
Sorry about your golf hopes.....ah well, at least you will have a nice turkey dinner! Hope you enjoy it!
good timing on my part...This week - I did the summer to winter change over.
- snowblower from shed to garage(need to see if it still works - didn’t use it last year)
- all deck furniture covered
- tomorrow garbage cans go from outside to inside garage
- a little late - today snow shovels from shed into garage...assuming i get out of my jammies...
Lol opposite here!
All deck furniture, including barbeque, covered in snow! We rarely get snow like this until December. Thankfully, we don’t have to worry about snow removal, or driving anywhere. Lots of groceries in stock, propane tanks full....let the hibernation begin!
Sorry no golf but you’ll have a good turkey dinner!
Can your propane be refilled during the winter?
We decided to skip fall this year and move right into full-blown, freezing cold, snow-covered, wind blowing winter!
CB, lol at the NYC fashions. They’re allowed colors now? Whew! Freedom!
Spunky! Hope you’re well! Are you painting up a storm out there? Drop in and let us know how you’re doing!
Just reading that the shutdown is ending. 8 dems going to vote to open up the crime syndicate operations.
Thanks for the memes Cotton. New server?
MsB - whoops?
Judy - bummer on snow
Stylin - sorry your trip is not looking good for golf. Is there a virtual facility at your destination?
Spent four glorious hours working outside, harvesting the herbs, cotton and eye moved the two Rosemary planters to the back mulch them up protector them so hopefully they’ll survive the winter .one is smaller plants which I don’t have much hope for the big one is the one that lived through last year.
Rather bitter sweet as it was a wonderful 75° but will swoop down to heavy frost tonight and then forty for the high for the rest of the week with hard freezes at night
so my pretty flowers will be gone. I picked probably 2 quarts of green tomatoes some of them very tiny The grape size but they were green. I’m not sure what I can do with them. They’re a little small for fried green tomatoes.
That’s what I get for starting them so late from seed .,I picked probably a quart of beautiful Romas but Green, which would’ve been gorgeous for Caprese - one of my favorite salads
Made by SON Jeff brats for dinner and I made myself curry - used thyme and tomatoes and some green onions from our garden. Have enough left over for tomorrow

Smoke alarm — funny but true in my early years of cooking
Got down to freezing last night here. I’m looking out the window and I see big snow flurries with fall leaves in the background. If my thyme and oregano survive this winter I might try Rosemary next year.
Aww, so cute! I love kitties!
I chuckled at this one - having listened to Dave Ramsey for years, it’s hilarious.
