Are you looking for a job in your new area or are you retired?
I was so thankful to finally retire at 70 though I still volunteered at the school for a few years.
We have lived in our home for 27 years, the longest I have ever lived anywhere.
I can’t imagine having to move all this stuff.
Where does it even come from?
I’ve really been trying to sort out stuff to donate and throw away all summer.
Not doing all that well as the dust in the garage really triggers my allergies.
Then I have to give it a few days before hitting it again.
But I will persevere!
I retired in 2016 but still have dreams about not being able to keep up with my patient assignment, ICU can be very difficult. I try to maintain the house and family, family is harder. Involved in Vets and Church too, plus meeting new neighbors. I have a very nice neighborhood.
That’s right, Zero, duh, I knew that.
Maybe Big Mike will do for now.

I definitely agree family is harder, even after the kids grow up and leave home the mothering and fathering never stops nor should it IMHO.

When sons were in Marines, we bought a smaller home, when they got out, they both moved back in, then the other one moved in.
Had all of them in the den.
Only for a short period, about 8 months, but, you know I enjoyed them back, fun times.
Now 3rd son went liberal after 1st Trump’s presidency and hasn’t spoken to us anymore.
He does call and yells at us to go and get the Covid shot.
