I went for a ride on Blue. She started right up at home and took me faithfully to my sister’s house, 16 miles away.
When I came out, she wouldn’t start...click click click.
So my sister asked a neighbor to give me a jump, but I had a sneaking suspicion it was a problem with the Voltage regulator (which is like an alternator on your car).
The engine rode smoothly until I was a scant six miles from home, and it just up and DIED.
By the side of the road...no fewer than six people stopped to help. I called AAA, and they were USELESS. I going to cancel my subscription first thing Monday Morning.
A fellow biker gave me a jump, and followed me home to make sure I arrived safely.
There are still some decent people in the world, even in Massachusetts.
I’ve had to replace the Voltage Regulator several times, so I was able to diagnose the problem, and will be calling my mechanic after the weekend.
In 32 years, my only repairs have been tires or electrical.
The Simple two-cylinder Internal Combustion engine and old-fashioned carbeurator have NEVER failed me.
I’m surprised the President’s grandkids aren’t there for the fireworks -— they would have had a blast.
I think FLOTUS comes to DC for holiday celebrations ... Easter Egg Hunt, Memorial Day Parade, Fourth of July --- and an occasional bill signing.
She may have resigned from the Welcome Committee. 😊

Sadly, it seems that all 11 grandchildren (including baby Alexander) live in Florida and aren’t visiting their grandpa at the White House .
They did seem to have a marvelous time with the balloon drops at the conventions
I hope we will soon be treated to their presence with their grandpa, especially around the Resolute Desk.

Way I figger it… the Lord put that Scotch here for a REASON and left it up to me to figger out WHY…

Based upon what I’ve read and heard, FLOTUS likely spends time at Trump Tower so she can be near Barron with him now at NYU.
I don’t think either POTUS or FLOTUS is staying at Mar-a-Lago right now because the otherwise resort shutters between Easter and Thanksgiving.
Of course, the rest of the Trump families have their own residential homes in Florida.
*****There was one event recently which brought Ivanka, Jared, Arabella, Joseph & Theodore to the White House.
They attended the swearing-in of Jared’s father, Charles Kushner as the new US Ambassador to France.
Unfortunately, this remained closed to the press, private

Palin never ran for senate. She hinted, but ended up running for the house and got hosed by ranked choice voting.
Being Irish, God gave me alcohol so I wouldn’t rule world.
