The pointy one is used mainly for cutting large chonks of meat or removing salmon from the skin. It does not look that sharp in that poorly rendered pic.
The knife with the white handle is used to carve cooked proteins, or cut bread.
Both of those knives are available in every kitchen outlet store.
They should have just shot him and put him out of our misery.
Recently read an article that archeologists wanted to know what the sex of a person who's tooth that was found in an excavation. No other bones in the find gave any clues. No DNA could be extracted from any of the fragments. They have a test that they do on the enamel of a tooth and it identifies if the tooth is from a male or a female, something about the chemical makeup of the enamel is different. So there is a lot more than just DNA going on in male/female make up.
