Win From WI Supreme Court: Congressional Maps to Stay As Is
Red State ^ | June 26, 2025 | Ward Clark

In what can only be described as a win for the Wisconsin Republican Party, that state's Supreme Court has (for the moment) rejected a suit to withdraw the Badger State's congressional district maps. That means that the present maps will stay in place through the 2026 mid-terms, which makes the prospect for Republican candidates a little brighter.

Democrats, on the other hand, are no doubt disappointed.

The Wisconsin Supreme Court on June 25 rejected a request to reconsider the state's congressional maps ahead of next year's midterm elections, all but ensuring the current maps will remain in place for 2026.

The liberal-controlled court's decision, which was made without comment from the justices, marked the second time in the past two years that the court has rejected a push from Democrats to change the battleground state's federal maps. It is a loss for Democrats who sought more favorable lines as they aim to retake control of the House in 2026.

This has implications at the national level as well. If President Trump's agenda is to have any chance of moving ahead, the GOP must keep control of the House and Senate in the midterms, and historical precedent informs us that this isn't an easy task. It would be better, of course, to expand on Republican majorities, and this decision may make that a little easier.

Democratic groups filed their latest petitions in May, asking the court to reconsider the congressional map lines. Any change would have likely made two of the state's six Republican-held House seats more competitive for Democrats. Republicans hold six of the state's eight House seats.

Democrats in their challenge argued the current map was drawn based on a "least change" principle that they said the court abandoned when it struck down the state's legislative maps in December 2023. That theory refers to favoring maps that minimize changes to existing boundary lines.

Wisconsin is not the only state reworking district maps in the hopes of making them friendlier to one side or the other, and they certainly won't be the last.

The post continues:

That could have been HORRIBLE for Republicans.

In the 2025 Supreme Court election, Susan Crawford WON and vowed to make this happen, but she has not taken office yet. CC: @ScottPresler

With this development, it is MUCH less likely that Democrats will be able to rig the Wisconsin map in time for the midterms.

At the SAME TIME, Republicans in Ohio and Texas are considering redrawing their maps to benefit the GOP. MAKE IT HAPPEN!

If the name Marc Eilas sounds familiar, that's because he is the Clinton creature who, in 2016, hired Fusion GPS to assemble what would become the Steele Dossier - the source of the "Russian collusion hoax" aimed at scuppering President Donald Trump's 2016 presidential campaign. Clearly, that didn't work. And now, in Wisconsin, his latest effort hasn't worked, either.

It's safe to say Wisconsin Republicans are pleased:

Shortly after the court's decision, Republican U.S. Rep. Tom Tiffany responded to the news by posting a photo to X of himself with Republican U.S. Rep. Scott Fitzgerald holding beers and smiling. "Cheers, Scott," he wrote.

Now, we can look ahead to the midterms with a little more optimism. For now. November 2026 is still a long way away.

“In the 2025 Supreme Court election, Susan Crawford WON and vowed to make this happen, but she has not taken office yet. CC: @ScottPresler”

The exact same thing was declared by liberal Democrat Janet Protasiewicz during the highly publicized campaign for the WI Supreme Court BACK IN 2023. Just like in 2025, the big-spending liberal defeated a hapless underfunded conservative.

This outcome BACK IN 2023 gave Democrats control of the Court by a 4-3 margin.

Has anyone ever managed to explain why the Democrat Court at that time did not gerrymander the congressional districts?

Because they DID gerrymander the state-level districts, trashing the lawful map which had been in place for the 2022 elections and replacing it with their gerrymander which was highly effective in the 2024 elections. Democrats picked up a whopping 10 House seats and 4 Senate seats in Wisconsin in November, 2024, even while Trump was (barely) winning statewide. But that’s exactly what a good gerrymander can do, and Democrats know that better than anyone.

So why were they waiting all this time to screw Republicans at the U.S. House level? It’s nice that they declined the opportunity to do so — this time — but it’s hardly like Democrats to fail to play as dirty as possible, given any opportunity.

It was a defeat for this filthy, Leftist, thuggish, anti-American POS: Mark Elias.

Elias is the Leftist head of the spear for nearly all the election fraud we have seen in the last decade or two.

Ironically, this is what the Democrats ran on in Wisconsin: vote this judge in and then change the Congressional districts to affect the balance of power in the House of Representatives.

I guess that plan backfired.

Democrats appear to believe that the right to gerrymander is guaranteed in the Constitution. They forget that Elbridge Gerry left the Convention without signing the Constitution.

This could save two House seats from going to the Democrats in 2026.

For sure.

Two GOP incumbents would have been goners — Bryan Steil in CD-1 and Derrick Van Orden in CD-3 most likely.

Van Orden’s race in 2026 is a tossup even without new district lines being created specifically in order to harm him. If 2026 turns out to be a “blue” wave (like the last midterms when Trump was in office) Steil could be in serious jeopardy too.

But with new lines, there wouldn’t even have been a debate — they’d be toast. Now there is an adequate chance that the GOP keeps both seats.

The left loons on Supreme court with exception of the drunk Protocieicz are scheming amoral witches.

They are setting a narrative of impartiality so they can ram through their dream of killing Act 10 and establishing Illinois style abortion laws.

They also are pretty sure due to the ineptitude of RPW and the galactically overstuffed incompetent Chair Brian Schimming, they will have the trifecta of control to facilitate the “fundamental transformation “ of this state to North Illinois or East Minnesota

On the other side, RPW is more interested in purging conservatives and have no clue or strategy

It ia beyond frustrating seeing the left in this state run circles around the clueless, inept, mendacious RPW.
