The man that President Trump described as the "worst" governor in America is prepared to buy another election as a prelude to a presidential campaign. Timing is everything, Illinois is set to hike its gasoline taxes again on July 1st. Illinois gas taxes are second only to the high taxes in California.

At least they get roads with all that money. Ours are a bad joke. OTOH, the one time I drove across Illinois, the tolls in Chicago were a total ripoff. One toll guard even short changed me.

Let’s be honest…JB hasn’t done much running in his life. Except when the shrimp come out on the Golden Coral buffet.

This is akin to the captain of the Titanic throwing the ship in reverse to hit the iceberg a 2nd time. Just to make sure.

The Pritzker family profiteers from the transgender industry. Here are some links to many of the awful things he has promoted as Governor of Illinois:

Three terms? Is that even legal?

Of course, what does “Legal” even mean in Illinois?

Clearly not the worst governor - there is stiff competition for that mark.

At least they get roads with all that money.

I lived in Illinois for 15 years. The roads are horrible. My city of Rockford was among the worst. Rockford Blacktop would get bazillions to resurface Alpine Road, and by the time they were done they had to go back and start again.

With her sizable war chest; heavy backing from local developers, such as Sunil Puri, and public-works contractors, such as William Charles Ltd. (parent company of Rockford Blacktop, whose website, rockfordblacktop.com, proudly—and without a hint of irony—displays the slogan “Paving the Planet for Over 55 Years”), both of whom benefited greatly from having a full-time county-board chairman; and endorsements from both prominent Republicans and prominent Democrats (including then-mayor Charles Box and then-state representative, and current mayor, Doug Scott), Cohn won the primary handily. Not surprisingly, she faced no Democratic opposition in the 2000 general election.

California's are worse, and without the damage done by hard freezing. On this list, Illinois didn't make the top ten.

Yes. Even Texas can run a governor forever. Some states are dumb.

“At least they get roads with all that money.”

No, we don’t. Those funds go straight into the general revenue bucket and get pissed away.

I don't care about lists. The southern part (Springfield, etc.) isn't so bad. Chicago proper and Rockford are horrible. I care that the state uses so much salt in the winter that potholes abound everywhere. I have never been to California. I have lived in half a dozen states, though, CT-WI-IL-MO-VA-AZ. Illinois is the worst of that group. In travels, Southfield Michigan was the worst. Maybe California is as bad as you say. I do not know first hand, but if it is worse than northern Illinois, that is REALLY bad.
