I’m glad you have a city/town that has things to see and do. Our town is totally boring...AND ugly. I have to head to east or south Texas to have any sort of scenery or things to actually do. LOL!
Hi Luvie, yeah well the heat index for WA is climbing so we’ll be in the upper 80’s to low 90’s for a bit. Good jump weather though. :D
I can walk a bit - but not climb over rocks, boulders, fallen trees, etc…
Well I’ve lived in many major cities - frankly after awhile they all look the same. Plus I love where I’m living and the country feel with all a big city has on a much smaller scale...and no traffic to battle..
I grew up in a very small town....not a fast food eatery in site! Entertainment was at the county fair and Holiday parades. You had to drive 35 minutes to get a Pizza! Ha!
Sorry you are limited for scenery etc.
They ARE beautiful. There are some areas with civilization but most is wilderness, with a few cool lighthouses along the islands. There’s a nice wild horse reserve on the northern end but I never got up there.
LOL! Those temps are “low” in our summers. I relish them. It will be good jump weather. Lots of updrafts to float on.
It’s moving on minight here and we’re at 80 degrees with real feel of 84!
I have heard of those wild horses. That would be a sight to see!
Wow, that's hard to believe. Here in the Phoenix area, where the high today and tomorrow is 103, but our low tonight is going to be 74.
.
We’re under that Heat Dome....it’s been nasty sun hot for two days. Was on the deck for about ten minutes - could feel the sun burning back of my legs!
I got Palm Beach.
Sounds great to me!
My brother and s-i-l went last spring and stayed at Corolla, specifically so they’d be close to the reserve. The weather wasn’t very pleasant so they didn’t see very many of the horses but they did get to see a few at least.
I’d stay at Nags Head and primarily went south along the islands when I went.
Thanks luvie...
I’m a Native Texan - in 55 years, never lived north of I-10 (from Florida to California), but, travelled across them, of course.
Sit by the waters and find Jesse Watters in Maine
Away from the bright lights of Primetime, you may find Jesse Watters
by the waters...of Maine. Stunning views, Acadia National Park,
delicious blueberries, with small-town charm all over the state. Ocean waves, bonfires and sunsets, if only every day could be this nice.
I’ve lived along I-20 for decades, and I’ve been to Maine with Ms. Behavin [and some other wonderful freepers] and all that stuff in your post is for real, and we did it all! My hubby even went and loved it. Oh, and blueberries purchased by the side of the road? Pure. Heaven.
Never saw Jesse Watters there. LOL!
Yesterday at Chisolm Trail Park:
Yes, I know, I set a world record for most pictures in a Facebook post.😆 Gizmo really had a spectacular time. I also wanted to document the fact that some parts of the park are still flooded from the rains back in April.
Here is the result I got from the quiz:
"Explore the Great Lakes and keep an eye out for Bill Hemmer.
Seeking the ocean feel without a flight or extreme summer heat? The Great Lakes are for you! When he’s not at the big board talking about Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio and Pennsylvania, you may just find Bill Hemmer visiting them. With his Superior knowledge it wouldn’t be at all Erie to find Bill at a beautiful lake house this summer."
How's everyone doing this morning?
I wish I had had the chance to go there. The only time we visited NC was to go to a small town near Charlotte, and then we drove over to Asheville. At the time, I’m not even sure I had even heard of the Outer Banks.
Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))
Might still be a few wets spots left over but not nearly enough to spoil Gizmo’s fun. Bet you both slept well after all that running around. :-)
