The spouse of an active-duty member of the Air Force stands in the gap for her husband of 11 years. Together, the family is facing an uphill battle against the Department of Defense for exercising the innate rights of all U.S citizens, rights that service members do not relinquish.
Maj. Brennan Schilperoort is a C-130J transport aircraft pilot who has honorably served the nation in the Air Force for over 17 years. Maj. Schilperoort applied for a flu shot medical exemption in November 2023, previously having a severe adverse reaction to it, but the Air Force refused him consideration. Another service member he personally knows was granted a medical exemption that same month for “headaches.”
With evidence mounting about the safety, efficacy, testing, and research surrounding the unlawful COVID-19 shot mandate since 2021, Maj. Schilperoort also discovered significant issues surrounding the flu shots. Medical options exhausted, he asserted his Constitutionally-protected rights in December 2023 to object to the flu vaccine for moral and religious reason, requesting a Religious Accommodation. The request was ignored in violation of the Air Force’s own regulations and the 1993 Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA).
While those who ignore regulations continue to walk scot-free, Maj. Schilperoort was punished for his decision. While his case is still in appeal, the C-130J pilot has been placed on a no-pay status since mid-March for taking an objection grounded in his faith and the Constitution.
Davis Younts, Maj. Schilperoort’s military defense attorney with 23 years of experience, stresses that removing pay from an officer like this is “in my experience only reserved for violent criminals or those already incarcerated.” Interestingly, it should also be noted that the Air Force pilot has not had a documented case of the flu nor has he had the shot in the last four years. The Air Force allowed him to continue working alongside his coworkers the entire time.
Still considered an active-duty service member (emphasis added), Maj. Brennan Schilperoort is no longer able to provide for his family, having gone without pay for three months while appealing his case. If the pending appeal is denied, he will also face administrative separation from the Air Force he has faithfully served for most of his adult life.
Using the Spotfund platform, Maj. Brennan Schilperoort’s wife, Maggie, opened up to the public about the family’s growing financial struggles. She wrote:
We are now struggling financially, and not just to fund Brennan’s defense case. The last of our savings was recently exhausted to replace our failing AC unit, and since then, we have borrowed money for a necessary car repair. We have cancelled our personal subscriptions for needed healthcare supplementations and chiropractic care. We withdrew our son, Braeden, from his martial arts classes and other developmental activities, and we are now paying for groceries with our credit card. With the sudden and unjustified withdrawal of Brennan’s pay (even though he’s still on active-duty status), we will not be able to afford our mortgage this July.
Following this statement, The Gateway Pundit spoke to Mrs. Schilperoort. She admitted feeling a bit reluctant about asking for help, but wholeheartedly believes “Good people rise up when they see others are in need.”
She also reiterated what she has already shared online, prioritizing a need for others to pray for her family. “With prayer, our family will make it through this,” she asserted.
Navy Commander Robert A. Green, Jr., author of Defending the Constitution Behind Enemy Lines expressed his public support of Maj. Schilperoort, whom he considers a friend. As Maj. Schilperoort has been abandoned by the military to navigate life without pay, Cmdr. Green also pointed out on X that “transgenders were offered two times separation pay, (a department-wide policy never done before). They are also being offered early retirement options, where they will get a pension without even serving a total of 20 years.” For Cmdr. Green, equal justice is required.
...
Others have also taken to X to express their disdain for the Air Force’s treatment of Maj. Schilperoort. Jordan Karr, a former Air Force intelligence officer, called his case “one of the most egregious.”
...
Investigative journalist Lara Logan questioned, “What on earth is going on here?” for reasons shared in her post.
...
Sam Shoemate, a retired Army Chief Warrant Officer 2 and independent journalist who is no stranger to the failures of “bad Commanders, compromised JAGs, and Deep State bureaucrats,” also took to X in support of Maj. Schilperoort. He encouraged others to share Maj. Schilperoort’s story everywhere, contact their Congressmen, and “demand that this kind of behavior from the DOD ends immediately.”
Maj. Brennan Schilperoort doesn’t need to stay in the military to continue working for the Federal government towards his pension.
Asked for religious exemption only after getting turned down for a medical exemption.
He had a quick conversion. Hallelujah!
While that is true. is clearly misses the point of the article. Why would he have to?
Natural immunity known, at least, since the Athenian Plague in 430 BC..
Epidemiologist fired from Harvard after refusing covid vaxx shot named to CDC vaccine panel.

My nephew flies C130 tankers for the ANG. He has been called up and deployed to Spain. I think right now they need all of these guys they can get
The article doesn’t make the main point really clear. President Trump ordered that people separated because of the Covid vaccine should be returned to active duty. But the military is dragging their heels and wanting them to sign a release form before they take them back. The people who tried to force those decisions don’t want any consequences legally down the road.
Seems to me there could be a real boom opportunity for a base gate clinic operation for MILITARY VACCINES HERE!
Pay a bit more in cash, and you can get the ‘self-service’ option...
Fowchy sucks big time!
There’s a strong case to be made—I’d say it’s irrefutable—that any desire to protect one’s own body, health and life is necessarily based on a religious conviction.
Has to do with the fact that religious belief is the conceptualization of how the individual relates to others, to the cosmos, and to the creator. Pertaining to this conceptualization, preservation of the self is always religious. Regardless of what the individual acknowledges or does not acknowledge about God.
The point being this would be the first basis for requesting exemption, not allergy.
I think that’s consistent with your statement.
Something doesn’t pass the smell test. Active duty never go on no pay status. This article clearly isn’t getting facts right at all.
Yup and he should have aborted his kids and had his dick chopped off. I had hoped you had quit freerepublic.com as your vaccine positions are stoically indefensible ignorance. The article says he researched flue vaccine and changed his views. I can be pretty sure the vaccines involved fetal harvesting. I know freedom from tyranny and freedom of thought is controversial for vaccine advocates like you.
I was fortunate enough to not have to get it, although there was a certain amount of shunning. However, after seeing the way this thing was pushed, I’d claim a religious exemption in a heartbeat, because it sure looked like the Mark of the Beast to me...
“Something doesn’t pass the smell test. Active duty never go on no pay status.”
Agree. Still on active duty but receiving no pay? Never heard of that.
Well I learned something today. The C-130 has been adapted for every conceivable use from hurricane chaser to gunship, but I never knew they were also air refueling aircraft. I love 'em.
You sound hysterical or insane.
Or mistaken, perhaps?
Coming from you i simply don’t care. You are irrelevant.
This crap is really infuriating.
POTUS should have had an EO on day 1.
“Something doesn’t pass the smell test. Active duty never go on no pay status. This article clearly isn’t getting facts right at all.”
They ordered a discharge. He is applealing.
