the only one i know of in america is the Cherokee Nation,, the rest are wards of the State under the BIA.
correct me if im wrong.
There are 109 federally recognized sovereign tribes in California (second-highest number in the U.S. after Alaska) and 20 in Nevada.
but the siera club is just a commie front group whose issue is revolution and the destruction of the United States.
and endangered species ? let me see the numbers on the surveys done by the commie infiltrated wild life biologists.
>>President’s proposed public land sale includes beloved Lake Tahoe sites
Good, then there will be lots of buyers. If these activists want to control the land, let them pay for it.
* says who ?
wiki ?
econazi groups ?
recognized tribes is not the same as sovereign.
you gonna float the turd that those tribes are not wards under the BIA ?
they are not sovereign., thats econazi / commie propaganda.
Lies from the Sierra Club. Communists use the Endangered Species Act as a weapon against Capitalism. Sell the land Trump.
if they get BIA money, they aint soverign, they are wards of the federal state.
These are constitutionally state lands held unconstitutionally by the feds.
The feds may only own land inside a state's boundaries (state land) through purchase by the Consent of the Legislature of the State in which the Same shall be, for the Erection of Forts, Magazines, Arsenals, dock-Yards and other needful Buildings (US Const., Art. I, Sec. 8, Cl. 18).
These including national parks are unconstitutionally held by the feds and should be given back to the states.
Period.
Give any “Federal” land back to the States, to dispose of as
they and their voters see fit.
Maybe put a few conditions like two consecutive legislative session votes to proceed, to give voters a chance to voice and control run away Parties in their states.
They are served by the Western Nevada Agency of the BIA.
the federal government through the BIA, which provides services and manages lands held in trust for tribes.
ergo
NOT sovereign despite what google and wiki conflate
The Tribal nations can buy the land if they want to build more casinoes.
Many of those “recognized tribes” in California are more Hispanic than Indian. Casino pop-up tribes.
The Bill does not give it back to the States. It gives it to the highest bidder.
Maybe put a few conditions like two consecutive legislative session votes to proceed, to give voters a chance to voice and control run away Parties in their states.

i agree completely thats the way it should be,,
but im selfishly conflicted on the issue
i still hope they dont , the recreation value would be priced out of the ability to enjoy worse than it already is.
paying to camp on federal lands was my constant complaint when i worked for the BLM and USFS.
More unconstitutional acts by the mostly unconstitutional federal gov’t.
FEDS CONTROL THE LAND -—BUT “”OWN IT”???
THEY PAY NO PROPERTY TAXES OF ANY KIND, IIRC

yup.
im being selfish, ive been meaning to go camping there and if it gets sold i wont be able to afford a private camp ground im sure.
the fed camping rates are egregious enough as it is.
still scratchin my head over that...isn’t this about selling public lands ? What private land are they talking about...I don’t see it in the article
There are 574 federally recognized Indian Nations (variously
called tribes, nations, bands, pueblos, communities and native
villages) in the United States.
