More than 100 police officers searched for two days for the suspect in the shootings of two Minnesota state lawmakers and their spouses. They finally captured him late Sunday, the hunt ending when he crawled to officers who had tracked him to a field outside Minneapolis.
The suspect, Vance Boelter, 57, had been on the run for a day and a half when investigators found his car and hat Sunday afternoon on a remote stretch of road in Sibley County, a largely rural area southwest of Minneapolis — about an hour’s drive from the sites of the attacks early Saturday.

Facts about the case.
The two democrat Minnesota government lawmakers who were targeted by Boeler voted with the GOP and gave them a legislative victory days before.
He was appointed by Walz for a government panel.
Boelert lived with roommates in a Minneapolis area house.
I know the NYT and There was no paywall and I never paid for one.
but defund the police right?
So... what - he was caught because his car broke down? Ran out of gas?
“””He was appointed by Walz for a government panel. “”
And appointed by the idiot democrat Governor Goofy Dayton before that.
Someone’s game camera spotted him moving in the woods.
I’ll post the rules for the Workforce Development Board again:

Half the 60 members needed to be from the private sector, and Boelter qualified. Most of the people who seek to get on these unpaid advisory committees do so to burnish their resume and network with other members who might be in positions to help their businesses.
He could have headed toward Skidmore MO.
Probably taking a whizz. Gott go sometime. Sensors with AI detected the moisture.
I was able to struggle through the big words and read it. Do you think Dayton and Walz would appoint a far right winger? Would Walz have one as his intern?
RE: but defund the police right?
Walz was all they needed, no police.
He had to be held back from picking up the weapons of war he used in combat and vowed to set aside as he yearned for peace. Then going out to use his military training to track the enemy in the woods. If he could just figure out how to load the darn things.
Fox News's Sandra Smith and John Roberts failed to mention either of those facts this morning. Instead, they with a ten second clip of Boelter's friend stating that Boelter was a Christian who went to church every Sunday.
Fair and balanced, indeed.
He showed up at the homes of four lawmakers. It would be interesting to see who those other two were.
“””Boelter’s friend stating that Boelter was a Christian who went to church every Sunday. “””
So he got his weekly indoctrination of rainbow flags and all the other liberal ideas they preach.
I thought it was just one that voted with the GOP and that there is no evidence whatsoever - at least none as if yet- that indicates that immigration issue was even on this guy’s radar.
What evidence there is, is a list of Democrat lawmakers and abortion clinics, which may or may not be what he was angry about, and his apparent lack of work, at least around May of this year, which may or may not play into this.
They could have sent out FOUR NYT authors to find him.
What church was that?
Fair question. The reporter didn’t follow up with that question nor did Smith or Roberts.
Source?
And that vote was recent. He planned this longer than that.
From what little has been presented, neither Vance or Jenny were very politically active. No donations listed for either in Open Secrets, only from a Mary Boelter of Green Isle (retired, relationship unknown) for small amounts to Scott Jensen and the MN Republican Party.
I don’t think much political scrutiny is applied to these committees since they have no power, just advisory. Stuff like this gives pols a no risk way to appear to be bipartisan.
