Report shows that $70 million in US taxpayer money was given to the California NGO’s that are going after and shutting down family farms..
Our tax dollars are being laundered to NGO’s and used to shut down our food system..
“Congress is investigating the NGOs that shut down the 12 family farms — They also verified by the committee that they did not respond when they said, hey, why'd you do this? — And now they're talking about that they might have to subpoena them because they're not answering their questions.”.
“They also verified they were giving about $70 million to move forward with different projects, which includes shutting down small family farms, apparently in Point Reyes. And that's what's going on. A major mass amount of corruption to shut down your food system.”..
...
The $70 million funneled to NGOs targeting family farms is a textbook case of bureaucratic overreach and taxpayer abuse. The Putting Trust in Transparency Act (H.R. 2841) exists precisely to expose this corruption by forcing NGOs receiving federal funds to disclose donors and spending—yet agencies still operate in shadows. California’s Foodbank of Southern California scandal proves the rot: $10.4 million in state/federal funds diverted to personal enrichment schemes while small farms get crushed.
Congress must subpoena every NGO stonewalling accountability. This isn’t about “environmentalism”—it’s about dismantling local agriculture to consolidate power. When bureaucrats weaponize grants to bankrupt family operations, it’s economic warfare against rural America.
Defund the middlemen. Protect the farmers.
...
This is the real reason Musk left. They're not going to do a thing.
The money is STILL flowing to the bad guys.
Nothing will change. They're just running the clock out with Thune leading the way.

160,000 small farmers went out of business in the past 7 years, while Bill Gates added to his unused acreage. As of early 2025, Gates owned about 275,000 acres of farmland across multiple states, making him the largest private farmland owner in the US. From USDA data:

We’ve got to stop tax-exempt status for NGOs across the board: They are overwhelmingly leftist activist organizations.
Do you understand that every Little League, every church, every incorporated knitting club across America is an “NGO”? I realize these headlines are awful, but 99.9% of NGO’s are very mundane outfits. The real problem are the “Non-governmental organizations” that are in bed with the corrupt government, and thus don’t merit the title NGO at all.
Yes, I do. And there’s no reason for people to get special tax breaks because of their “nonprofit” organizations. It’s a scam that should be scrapped.
It’s Federal land, and a nature preserve.
Who is really surprised?
Mike Johnson?
John Thule?
Musk and his team have totally exposed the criminal democrat party.
Good job, Elon!
Then Newcome bought his 9 million dollar house
THE FARMS WERE THERE FIRST, IIRC
There were private enterprises in both Yellowstone and Yosemite before they became national parks...and some are still there.
But once the feds took over, their rules elevated to primacy.

FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument
Corrupt NGOs are actually being scapegoated by the likewise corrupt, post-17th Amendment ratification Congress in this example.
More specifically, not only have the states never expressly constitutionally given Congress the specific power to dictate, regulate, frustrate, tax and spend in the name of INTRAstate agriculture, but Congress is also expressly constitutionally obligated to report how every penny of our mostly unconstitutional, 16th Amendment (direct taxes)-based taxpayer dollars are being spent, Congress not doing so based on the findings of Trump Administration DOGE.
"From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited. None to regulate agricultural production is given, and therefore legislation by Congress for that purpose is forbidden [emphasis added]." —United States v. Butler, 1936.
"Article I, Section 9, Clause 7: No Money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by Law; and a regular Statement and Account of the Receipts and Expenditures of all public Money shall be published from time to time [emphasis added]."
Suppose Bob works at a factory. Bob earns a paycheck and it gets taxed. Then Bob donates to a nonprofit. Why do you think Bob's donation should be taxed a second time? Those funds were already taxed.
The practical effect of your suggestion would be to depress giving to churches, private charities, and all manners of legit nonprofits. With the entire world of private organizations now starved of funds, people would necessarily turn to the central government for help in times of need and for every purpose currently served by private entities. Congratulations, you've just created another Cuba.
We need to be encouraging alternatives to the central government, not driving everyone in the direction of totalitarian collectivism. I've been on FR since 97, and it's depressing seeing it turn years after year into a more and more Marxist worldview.
