We’ve had loitering target seeking missiles for SEAD in service for a while. They look for a radar emitter and use search patterns and fixes to plot it’s location to be able to attack it. Newer ones can even recognize AD Battery vehicles and target them by visual discrimination. Back in the 90’s TACIT Rainbow was going to do this. We have better computers and algorithms today, as does just about anyone with access to google. I wonder if we even use and uplink to google lens to get an ID answer today. Cheaper than writing your own code and it has a bigger database I’m sure.

Ranger vs. cost to produce in quantity is the equation I want to see solved.

At under 250 miles the range is short for much of the strategic uses Ukrainians would find for them. If the weapon is expensive, as this would probably be the case given the mindset of the DoD, the trade-off might not be good.

I think we should ask the experts on the ground, the Ukrainians.
