JUST IN: DOJ Launches Investigation Into Planned ‘Sharia City’ with Mega Mosque and Sharia Compliant Schools Near Dallas
Gateway Pundit, ^ | May. 9, 2025 | Cristina Laila

The Justice Department on Friday opened an investigation into the planned Sharia City near Dallas, Senator Cornyn said.

Last month Texas Governor Greg Abbott launched a campaign against a planned Islamic “mega-city” outside Dallas.

The East Plano Islamic Center, via its affiliate Community Capitol Partners, is seeking to construct a 1,000-home settlement around 40 minutes from Dallas.

The “Sharia City” would come complete with a mega mosque, Sharia adherent Muslim schools, community college, and sporting facilities.

KHOU reported:

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has opened an investigation into EPIC City, a Muslim-centric development proposed in Collin County, following calls from Sen. John Cornyn, among others, Cornyn announced Friday.

EPIC recently bought just over 400 acres of property north of Josephine near the intersections of County Roads 850 and 695 for the proposed development that includes more than 1,000 homes, a school, retail areas, parks and more centered around a mosque.

Conservative talk radio legend Mark Levin recently discussed the Islamic, Sharia Law compliant city being planned near Dallas and cited The Gateway Pundit’s report.

Sharia is the very highest law. It out ranks the Constitution. The Constitution means exactly nothing. Only Sharia matters.

Hey, what could go wrong.

Feminist and woke Dems assume Sharia Law will not result in their being taken out of a car for driving rather than having a brother, husband or other man drive them somewhere. And they’ll be able to attend college or trade school. And to refuse to have baby after baby to increase the Muslim population and the husbands’ power.

Not to mention gays who will have to politely refuse to take a tour of the highest balcony on the tallest buildings.

Who woke Cornyn up? Ken Paxton’s announcement that he is running for Cornyn’s Senate seat?

An ‘investigation’?
It’s about time the Alarm Clock went off in Gov. Abbott’s office. If allowed to continue development, this Sharia City will be called Epic City, and have at least 402 acres.

Shut that project completely down. Imagine even trying to establish a Christian community in Saudi Arabia like that. They would kill you.

On the one hand, I think the Second Amendment is very good, and pretty clearly written: “shall not be infringed”. Good. And yet courts and legislative bodies have found a million ways to infringe on that basic right. Lots of “nuances”. Weird.

On the other hand, the First Amendment gives freedom of religion — including that one particular religion that says the Constitution doesn’t matter, gays should be thrown off roofs, slavery is OK, child sex is OK, and women shouldn’t be allowed to go to school or driver cars. Ya know, if we’re gonna start seeing “nuances” in the Bill of Rights, and start “infringing” in a few special area, I think Islam might just be the better place to start ...

A similar “community” is being setup in a north suburb of St Paul, MN
I suspect this is happening everywhere in the USA

I don’t think you can establish a Christian community in the US.

Sharia law displaces the common law which is the legal heritage that informed the Constitution. Without it the Constitution is meaningless, so pushing Sharia Law is treason against our country.

What’s interesting is a lot of Hindus live in this area, and with the recent fighting between India and Pakistan, will we be the piggies in the middle?

Now launch an investigation on whether Islam is compatible with Western democracies, and then, the US Constitution.

A “sharia run” city would be unconstitutional. Just as a city run based on canon law would be as well.

“They won’t be able to stop it.”

Well, for starters, it is highly illegal and if it is not stopped it is only because government leaders don’t want it to be stopped.

However, that would bring about other communities leaving the various states and starting their own thing.

That would result in the complete and total collapse of the nation.
