Trump: Iran’s centrifuges will either ‘blow up nicely’ in a deal or ‘viciously’ without one

US President Donald Trump indicated Wednesday that he is seeking to “blow up” Iran’s nuclear centrifuges through an agreement with Tehran, but is also prepared to blow them up in an attack if necessary.

Asked during an interview on conservative talk show host Hugh Hewitt’s radio show whether the US told Iran to choose either to turn over its nuclear centrifuges and uranium or to “get bombed,” US President Donald Trump responded, “It’s that simple.”

For their part, Iranian officials have asserted that they will never dismantle their nuclear centrifuges.

“I would much prefer a strong, verified deal where we actually blow them up… or just de-nuke them,” Trump said. “There are only two alternatives there, blow them up nicely or blow them up viciously.”

Why does the USA get to dictate what weapons Iran is allowed to have? This isn’t like Germany and Japan with a negotiated disarmament after WW2.

I just don’t get it.

We shouldn’t be concerned with what weapons terrorists who want to kill us have?

Bizarre.

I really don’t understand how Iran hasn’t acquired the nukes they crave from Pakistan.

Probably has something to do with Iranian behavior from a historical perspective.

I try to not talk down to a person, but it seems you haven't been paying attention to the Mullahs, "Death to America and Israel" chants. Germany and Japan learned their lesson and have become members of the civilized world.

Iran's leadership almost daily threatens death to just about everyone around them. Also, they have been supporting many terrorists from Hezbollah to Hamas to the Houthies. It's all proven fact.

It's bad enough we let UN Fatboy acquire nukes, do we need any more from such a radical regime as Iran? Even the majority of ME nations don't want Iran to go nuclear. I believe the ME would be relived if we sent numerous MOABs and Bunker Busters down into their nuke facilities.

I personally think it is past due. An no, I don't believe China or Russia will start WWIII over Iran losing their nuke capabilities.

Try a little harder. Maybe you’ll figure it out eventually. But I’ll give you a hint.

When a country has openly declared you to be their mortal enemy for the past 45 years and has spent much of that time sponsoring terrorism that has cost the lives of thousands of Americans as well as the lives of thousands of our allies, allowing them to amass even greater destructive power is probably not the best way to end the threat. Hope that helps.

But if we made peace and dropped the sanctions, why would they want to kill us?

President Trump wants American inspectors on the ground to make sure.

Are they going to have inspectors over here?

Is it your question or is it your statement?

I think that is what President Trump wants. The all is on Iran’s court.

Oddly I think Iran has workable and deliverable nukes. They have good engineers and physicists and uranium. They are closely allied with North Korea and Pakistan that both have workable nukes and delivery systems. Iran has been playing a game of we are “almost there” in making a weapon. This game has enabled them to extract concessions and billions in cash from the West. They in all probability have nukes. If the USA attacks the centrifuges should be the secondary target. We must take out their nukes first which I think they have.

Might have something to do with the tenets of the moon god cult they belong to. Have you been living under a rock since 1979?

I suspect you're right, and the Houthis are testing their targeting systems.

Sounds like the same blackmail game they played at the founding of our Republic.

Your observation is very valuable. Most of the population here,(especially youngsters/teens/younger “adults”, etc), never even heard about events of 1979/80 with our hostages in iran and the following terrible surge in terrorism and instability.

The weapons negotiated to Germany and Japan would never have alloed them to build nukes. Further it didnt permit tye two to have anything resembling an offensive military force.

You’re not really comparing equivalent things here.

Because they’re evil. They decided to start killing us and get the sanctions. They decided they won’t want peace. They just did it all the more with sanctions were eased and they were literally sent pallets of cash under Obama.

You are in reverse of how it got to this point.

You don’t even have to go back that far. Obama literally gave away the store to them and they just funded more terrorism and killing.
