You should look at some maps.
Not all bases are alike, or suited for long-range ops against (very) hardened targets.
There are also - likely insurmountable - poltical and airspace issues.
Not to mention how fkn IDIOTIC it would be for us to just start smashing a nation we’re not at war with.
And Judas wanted 30 pieces of silver.
But only briefly.
“ Are you SURE that we’d get their permission?”
Absolutely. Assuming, of course, that President Trump asked them at all.

Flush out your headgear, Scooter. Iran has been at war with us since 1979.

We get all kinds. Some here think we can run around the Middle East like a bull in a china shop. Not so easy considering that those countries have to live with Iran after we leave and thus I expect that most would prefer to at least remain neutral, rather than be complicit in what would be perceived as an unprovoked aggression against Iran.
“Absolutely. Assuming, of course, that President Trump asked them at all.”
We’ll see...
The Houthis chose poorly and became the recipients of a message meant for Iran to reflect on.
Iran is getting defanged one way or another.
Agreed. And he’s also essentially given Hamas a get out of jail free card by his insistence on getting all the hostages returned. It’s a policy that has essentially stalled an end to the conflict.
I understand the desire to see all the remaining hostages returned, but sometimes you have to make hard choices. So when I hear all his tough talk then juxtapose it with his timidity in that regard, I find it irksome. And let’s not forget that it was his administration that was asleep at the wheel when October 7th happened. All in all, I’m not a big fan.
Netanyahu was asleep at the switch when when October 7th
happened, reducing the vaunted Mossad to a paper tiger.
US aid to Israel-—approximately $4 billion US tax dollars a year-—
is provided as grants under the “US Foreign Military Financing” (FMF) program.
In October 2023, Joe Biden told us Israel had nearly six hundred (600) active
Foreign Military Financing (FMF) tabs, totaling around $24 billion owed to US taxpayers.
Israel has also historically been permitted to use FMF tax dollars to buy equipment from its
own thriving multiple defense firms—a benefit not granted to other US military aid recipients.
Israel chronically indicates it is “dependent” on the US——
so this “going it alone” stuff needs to be rigorously examined.
US aid accounts for a significant chunk of Israel’s defense hoard. Israel also has
undisclosed military products bought outside of the US Foreign Military Financing program.
In other instances, when Israel’s borrowed US funds came due,
Israel got the US Congress to convert the “loans” into “gifts.”
Trump found out the hard way who exactly controls US foreign policy.
Trump is said to be furious about Netanyahu and Israeli collaborators colluding to interfere in Trump’s policy plans. Apparently Netanyahu and his boys pressured US National Security Advisor, Mike Waltz, to incite military action in Iran behind Trump’s back.
Netanyahu claimed in response thru The Washington Post that he spoke with Waltz “only once.”
However, Trump was not assuaged. Netanyahu admitting to “only once” showed his dark side and earned him a swift rebuke from Trump.
Article sounds like complete nonsense.
No one except some allied terrorist would consider any aggression towards Iran by virtually any country as “unprovoked.”
They’ve sponsored terrorism and murdered civilians and dissidents almost everywhere. That is a lot of provoking.
I think that is STILL a sore spot with Trump.
He thought, they would have supported his notion that the election was rigged.
Thank you.😊
“They’ve sponsored terrorism and murdered civilians and dissidents almost everywhere. That is a lot of provoking.”
For sure, but we’re talking millions of already-angry Sunnis that the royal families there have to answer to, at least to some extent.
